Yap, I have experienced with Macbook 13" DDR2 667Mhz. Upgraded from 1GB to 4GB with DIY method.....my brand is Mushkin...was using for about 3months time....without any problem As I know, below are the specs :

There is so much different with 1GB and 4GB RAM....Mushkin can easily get from lowyat plaza Startec 
As i know only the new macbook 13" aluminium got some problems with upgraded to be more than 3GB ram.....the system will have some error occured even with the apple certified RAM...enlight me if anyone facing this problem
