Hi .. would like to know if any of you have personally / retailer upgraded the RAM in your macbook / aluminium / macbook pro ?

As I know, below are the specs :

Macbook 13" - DDR2 667Mhz
Macbook 13" Aluminium - DDR3 1066Mhz
Macbook Pro - DDR 3 1066Mhz

Would like to know what brand of RAMs that you guys use successfully without any problems ?

any brand is fine. it will run. no problem. only apple is trying to earn more money by trying to scare the customers by incompatibilty problem

choose the correct speed and type and u shouldn't be worrrying. most ram sticks come with lifetime warranty

I wanna quote a guy from Epic saying that nowadays Apple doesn't certified Kingston RAMs anymore cause there are many problem. Is it true ? even with KTA versions. ? and many are saying that KTA and KVR is exactly the same specs.. just that KTA went thru apple's complete testing ...
The guy from Epic installed STRONTIUM RAMs on all machines sold with RAM upgrade. Never heard of this brand before..

nope, OEM Apple RAM is not ever sold separately.

KTA is certified to always work on Apple computers...

Personally, I don't care what sales people say, its my Mac... if it has kernel panic or any other RAM problems, I have to fix it...

I've been using 2X 1GB KVR DDRII 667MHz for about 8 months already without a hitch on my MacBook (plastic, white). Btw, I've got a piece of 256MB Mushkin KTA DDRII 667MHz RAM as a spare, anyone here care to purchase it from me as a spare for your own MacBook?

Actually, can u really notice the huge difference between the performance if u upgrade from 2gb to 4gb? Also, is it the Ori Apple certified RAM that comes with the MacBook is better than kingston or other brand of RAM in term of performance?

Hi Guys, Im planning to get ram for my macbook to, btw,

@Digital_Life, can you tell me the kingston Ram product number because i thinking of getting kingston ram also for my macbook,

and also those using corsair ram and also mushkin ram, can tell us what ram product number, because i think other who want to upgrade can see and find the same product number of ram and put into their mac because others have use it without no problem and this will make those who want to upgrade feel save.
