Mouth of advice. Don't get Levi's 501 shrink to fit rigid.
the material they used similar to carpet material.
which is hard and uncomfortable.

Never seen/owned Levis STF before, but did you soak/wash it before you wear?

If you haven't then there's nothing wrong with the denim. Levis STF is un-sanforized, and you should at least soak it and shrink it before you start wearing. It will soften up only after the soak and wears.

The same goes to all other expensive un-sanforized denim like Samurai (unlike sanforized denim like APC, nudie).

I think your reading the internetz skillz is sub par =/

Almost everywhere you go, people ask you to size down 2 or 3. If your waist is 34, wear 31 or 32. If you wear ngam ngam.. after 2 or 3 weeks, u sure complain again that it has loosened. =/

ok noted.

btw good thing bout cultizm is that they ship out a replacement even before getting back the jeans ! superb customer service ! my shipment should arrived in germany on 4th and their shipment should arrive in KL on the 5th of Jan.

Will buy from them again due to their awesome service !

btw my actual waist is around 34.5 but sometimes after makan can go 35 hehe i think W32 will do fine !

Cheap Mondays are a good starter pair of raws. They're almost ALWAYS at 90 bucks. OZ dollar. On a good sale, they go down to 50 or 70, depending on the cut.

I find the leather patch rather cool IMO. They're a srsly good starter pair. If you really can't see yourself doing skinny/slim raws, you can up your budget for a pair of Naked and Famous for... IDK.. RM400~450? It really depends on where you source your jeans smile.gif

Read first page to learn moar biggrin.gif Then, read entire thread. I know I did - twice. 2nd time, I was looking for something.

you can get a pair of topman/zara selvedge for less than rm200, even under rm150..

selvedge is just one of the method to create the edge of denim.. it's the fabric/denim from japan that being used that caused the premium price..

what i mean is selvedge denim is not very hard to get at cheap price..

the reason we go for higher end denim like Samurai, Iron Heart, Flat Head is due to the denim being used.. selvedge is just a method of sewing that required more work though only can be found in higher end denim..

selvedge is not a method of sewing la, it was the end part of a fabric (self-finished egde)..... if you're talking about method of sewing, I think it was chain stitching which usually found on premium denim...

Yeah... Uniqlo selvedge denim is cheap compare to other and it was made from Kaihara denim... One of the famous denim mill in japan... Levi's Japan was one of their customer...

How does the texture feels? Is it hard/soft? How much sizing if it's raw, what's the general quality. Review.
