I got bad fits leh. I didn't downsize on my first raws (the superdrys) so it is super loose.
Here goes. Superdry, first wash, 8 months.

With my new FCUK ironman collection tee.

Yeah, it is somewhat similar to grim tim. The prob is, since my thighs are not large, i don't really fit into grim tim, hence i also don't fit into the weird guy.

Thanks. The fadings I like are the creases behind the knee and the fadings around the thigh area (near the knee). Upper thigh/crotch ... those lines I got when sitting down. Dislike them though.
When handwashing that pair, I actually noticed some indigo bleeding off. First time seeing so much indigo spill... kinda scary actually. Lucky I didn't put them together with my other laundry in the machine! |

Yea, I did try it on. I have no complaints about the fit. It fits well. But I dislike how plain they are. But I guess that's to be expected from N&F as they purposely created a no-frills japanese selvedge denim so that it is affordable while still dishing out quality. @Balaclava Yes? Tube Kelly? I've heard of it, but never really got into looking into it. If it is any relevant, my girlf has a Bootcut Eddy. I have 2 nudies already. I'm planning on selling one since I can't very well be wearing 2 while having to rotate the others Why? You like the cut? |

@Calvin Seak
Zara has selvedge denim? I'm seeing lots of brands carrying or attempting to carry selvedge jeans to attract the crowds. Point is... if it isn't made of japanese premium denim, and the selvedge isn't sewn via the old school shuttle looms, it probably isn't going to be good. PS: Wow? You're 1st place in Diamond? Wait till I have time to look into it, then I'll comment @harvey I have ready knowledge for u. If you want, go for Dior Homme Arcadius. Goes for about USD 500 Semi coated. If you love glossy coated jeans, Dior Homme has many. You're looking at about USD 600-800 for a new pair though. And USD 400-500 for a pre owned. The coated ones are not raw. The coat will come off after many wears, but the effect will be unlike the aging effect of raw denim that fades in certain areas and creases after prolonged wear. |

Btw, Merry Christmas jean freaks!
I doubt I'll be shopping for jeans tomorrow. More likely a good pair of brogues. Will be good to go with them jeans though Unless the boutique that stocks dior homme has boxing sales on them, which I doubt. |

@atta,
I'm in the phase of changing my entire wardrobe. I find, I have to up my shoe game sooner or later. Can't be sticking to my sports shoes anymore. Haha. I guess every male has to go through this phase sooner or later. And I like the look of brogues. I still can't see myself wearing cap-toed oxfords anytime soon. Besides, the brogues I've seen and tried on so far look great for casual wear, so I thought why not? @Layang@ Too bad selfedge.com isn't having any sales. I was digging the IHxSE ones. But out of sizes anyways. |

Sauce: www.threethousand.com.au Eh? Sorry, but this style, I've seen with my own eyes for over a year now in Melbourne. Not uncommon really, in the land down under that nobody really cares about. Haha. And the raw jeans thing has been around and about since the 90s. I admit that we are rather slow in catching up with the raw denim wearing thing... SF, styleforum, HB and Mikevitoroulis senior posters have complained that there is now too much hype on it compared to to time when it wasn't commercialised. And they expected it to die down in another 3-4 years. And they hope and pray it will happen soon, so they can parade in their worn indigo second skin with pride again, when the masses moved on to other fads. But I doubt any true denim maniacs in this forum will move on to other fads. I know I won't edited to add sauce This post has been edited by Grimm: Dec 25 2010, 08:09 PM |

Passed by the one and only Nudies Jeans Co. in Melbourne.
Pure nudies shop - not a reseller like General Pants Co. There was like 50-60 people queing up to get in. The store was a puny little lot on little collins street. I LOLed at the amount of people trying to get in. Like people waiting to get into the club during Friday nights. Conversations I heard : (2 old ladies and an old gentleman) Lady 1: Look at that crowd. What are they after? Gentleman: Its a queue to get into a store. Ah.. wait.. I see it. Nudie Jeans. Lady 2: What? Lady 1: Nudie JEANS? Huh? (2 blokes, 20-30 ish) Bloke 1: Wow... look at that Nudie shop!! Bloke 2: *stared in amazement* Bloke 1: No way I'm going anywhere near that store today.. It was a pretty amazing sight, as Little Collins st was asleep. Every other store was closed, save a few, and Nudies was in the middle of all the dead shops buzzing with activity. Quite a sight to behold =/ I wonder how much the sales were. |

Sorry Francis. No pix taken. I can take a pic whenever I drop by there again. Gonna hop by and see if Assin has their dior homme on sale. I highly doubt so, but I'll just pop by. These high end boutiques were closed on boxing day. Meh... they don't need the sales to profit =(
Btw, I dropped by That Store. Updated prices in That Store. N&F Weird Guy $190 (Gold thread selvage) Skinny Guy $220 (Silver thread selvage) Grey Skinny Guy $220 (Silver thread selvage) Several Nudies that were on sale were at $200. There was one particular overdyed Grim Tim that was fabulous for only $200. If I didn't have a pair of Nudies, I would've bought that. |

I think your reading the internetz skillz is sub par =/
Almost everywhere you go, people ask you to size down 2 or 3. If your waist is 34, wear 31 or 32. If you wear ngam ngam.. after 2 or 3 weeks, u sure complain again that it has loosened. =/ |
