Just got back. Test drove and booked my E-Spec.
Dunno when will I get it though.. Looks like April.

1. Confirmed no auto-lock
2. It was raining just now, so it was a good time to test the roof sounding, I can't relate to how 'bad' the previous models were..but it sounded okay too me.. didn't have the zinc "metal" sound.
3. No boot release mechanism (but there's a padding in the underside, cos I saw a pic before and it had no cloth in the underside)
4. The gear knob looked the same between S-Spec and E-Spec, so I dunno where the leather-wrap comes from, cos I couldnt tell the difference.

Only part I don't like about the PMM is the front grille and the body colour is very similar. Doesn't have a distinct contrast. But besides that, it's cool

Took a few colors..cos I wanted to get mine early (in order)
1. Polish Metal
2. Alabaster Silver
3. Lapis Blue

.. wanted Bold Biege as my 2nd option, but since my brother booked that color.. can't have 2 same color cars at home

But the chances of him going to find each and every Honda (using the same type of key) would be rather remote.
Too many variables.. especially the location of where you first dropped it.

Errr.. E-Spec is RM89,980 while the S-Spec is RM84,980. Did you get mixed up with the Specs?

The SAs there were looking at me thinking "what's this jakun doing..never see car before ah..??"
But a couple of the girls SA were quite cute

Maybe kena throw out of the Showroom if I said that..haha!

What ever the SA give would be from his / her commission (to pay for tinting disc. or accessories) 'cos new car definitely no discount. At least for the klang valley where sales are pretty good, most likely they won't budge and give anything.

...as said before, no car can truly satisfy an individual. After all the EXCITEMENT in the City, every nook and cranny of the car would be scrutinized and anything out of placed will get bashed ranging from cheap plastics, can-hear-gear change 'cos no CVT, gaps in the console, why do we make the boot so big, reduce legroom? save for the 'defects' that may arise in earlier models, countless research and millions of dollars have been put into the development of the car. A big car manufacturer like Honda, Toyota etc wouldn't just build a car for the sake of building one..would it?

But to me, as long as the pros outweighs the cons.. I'm fine. Again, preference is up to the individual. If you're unhappy with the car, complain to HM (in their survey or write to them). Maybe they will give you their proper reason for building the car this way. If you're still not satisfied, well.. there are alot of cars in the market.

I do agree that the price is rather steep compared to the Vios, I for one am willing to pay the premium for a new shape. Just hope the niggling problems will be ironed out once I get my car (should be at least the 3rd batch since I couldn't make up my mind between specs a few wks ago )

P/s: If anybody else finds potential defects on the car, would be great if they can flag it out so we can always check whether it is truly a defect, or a design oversight. thanks for the feedback so far, will scrutinise my car when i receive it

You see now at RM85k and RM90k, there are still heaps of ppl buying it and eroding the Vios market, why not? Maybe they can drop their price a bit.. but to what extend? They're not fighting for a piece of the Waja market, they're competing on the Vios and Latio market which I feel that they're priced themselves well in

We live in the world of Plastics! argghh...

I think the lousy-ness of the Gen2 was not so much of the plastic inside, but it's overall built quality with encompass alot of things.
Correct, there might be alot of plastic being used in the City.. but I don't believe the overall package is of that of the Gen2. It's absurd.
Perhaps they've channeled the "cost" of the RM85k - RM90k to the development of the new engine and design. So, give and take a lil

Wow.. did your SA promise you that you can get the car Early March? E-Spec and PMM? Are you in the Klang Valley, bro?
Cos the SA which I booked my car from (also a family friend) said he can't promise me that he can get one by that date since the booking for the E-Spec is really positive. Unlike the S-Spec where he can confidently get it delivered (all colors) by February.
Good discount that you received. Especially with the door visor etc etc
Maybe I should ask my SA if I intro'ed somebody whether we can get some discounts? Anybody interested?

Yep, I told him that too..but he can't commit but he'll try his best too.
