whats wrong with SOHC engine? what honda wants to show is that they can built high output engine eventhough they use SOHC engine. 1.5 SOHC, 120PS AND 174NM.anyway, can vios produce  HIGH output if its engine SOHC? toyota relied on older technology because the company wants to cut cost. if you see high quality toyota models like LEXUS, the cars have a lot of new technology but the price is exorbitant. thus, LEXUS lose to other "orang putih" cars like merc and bmw. besides, toyota always design its car with old design with big, big square-shaped headlamps and the car does look sleek. etc. camry and altis. the grille always too big like old merc 70's. at the end of the day, people get tired and prefer more aerodynamic cars like honda and mazda. even merc has change its style. old merc looks like a box, but the new merc(etc. cls350) is sleeker and has modern design with its stylish headlamps. anyway, every people has their own taste. one can buy toyota and one can buy other type of japanese-made cars. however, nowadays, all new civic can be seen easily on the road compare to all new altis.

Conclusion:
Honda main target is to constantly improving their product to satisfy their customer and environment. Not like Toyota, they still use the old technology engine so that they can cut cost and offer cheap cosmetic items to their customer just to attract old minded and old tech customer  as long as they can sell their product. (eg: Avanza and Inova still use cheap non-independant rear suspension (axle type same as lorry and old van), Camry still use cheap macpherson type front suspension, WISH still use rear non-independant beam suspension same as old Iswara. Vios, Altis, Avanza, Inova, Wish and Camry still use 4 speed auto transmission, all Hondas are already use 5 speed.  All this Toyota tricks are not well known to their old minded and old tech customer    in malaysia.

Think again..... 

1. K&N Air Filter - Performance air filter; promotes better air flow (i.e. more efficient and effective than nomal paper filters. Hence resulting in more oxygen entering the engine so that fuel burns more efficiently. Also last longer, no need to change so often. Looks cool in the engine bay too. Conclusion: Increase horsepower and better fuel economy

2. Cold Air Intake (CAI) - Basically a device to bring in lower temp. air into the car's engine (basically funneling cold air to the air filter). Works the same as for #1, to increase horsepower through better efficiency. Theory is cooler air has higher density (greater mass per unit volume), more oxygen.. better combustion.

3. Heatshield - To attach to the air filter to keep out hot temperature around the engine bay area. Basically keeping the air as cool around the air filter area.

4. Iridium spark plugs - Last longer (no need to change so often). Improved ignition or combustion as the Iridium tip diameter is smaller than that of a standard plug hence reducing the likelihood of 'spark jump'. Hence supporse to increase power. IMHO, very marginal as new engines nowadays are very efficient. Want to buy 'cos it can last for 2 yrs without changing. The ones I'm using in my car 3 yrs already and still running well

5. Strut bar and lower arm bar - Better stability when cornering, in theory. For me, cool effect. When ppl open my engine bay. got that piece of metal from Ultra Racing..haha!

I'm a minimalist in terms to exterior mods.. prefer to keep it in the engine bay.

ya rite! if the rear axle shaft bengkok, the whole damn thing have to change!! damn expensive!!!

some more my father in law is telling me his neigbour friend daugther is working in a tinting shop and can give me RM800/car deal ( donno what tint) , say can guarantee good, guarantee JPJ no problem, guarantee satisfy one, and say those outside abave RM1000 all tipu one, look like very excited to help me save money but make me woner if really there is such big frog jumping around..if you got what i mean....but seriously my friend, anyone got any idea what kind of cost we are looking at to get a good, i mean good tinting job done.

Worry about unable to go through smart tag? Get Ecotint Ray Barrier. Lots of good reviews on it.

haih long story and bad luck.... 1 bloody lady driver drive full speed while talking to her son at the back and bang my wife's avanza rear right tyre while she stoping at the small interjunction(u know lar avanza have long butt). This bloody blind lady driving without looking infront.. Sigh... If im around i sure take photo! becos she langgar into the interjunction!!

Bad luck, police said my wife wrong. So claim insurance..after repair, everything seems alrite... but after 7 months, a car from behind inform me tat my right rear tyre swinging. Then check with SC, they said the whole thing bengkok! then write to Berjaya insurance, CB!  they said cant claim becos out of warranty period!!! damn!!! damn!!! Dont buy Berjaya Sompo Insurance!!!

Holysh*t, I saw Accord kit! Yay! Really MUGEN.
But the rear looks rather simple. No spoiler? Hmm...

if u say like that, city i-vtec also not a new tech for it because civic and accord already got this i-vtec long time. it just a big engine transfer into small one.

for the gear box, 5 vs 4 AT, 4AT use in malaysia city road is enough except u are always stay on the highway.

if like that dual-vvti also a new engine different frm vvti, u can say u believe, but other ppl also can believe theirself as well. seem that u make complaint 4AT, are 4AT cant ride on highway? or only need 5AT can ride on highway, some TS totally non-sence b4 say ppl non-sence..
