cos our comes with CD inlet they call it, so the jack has to be at the bottom. while for thailand it doesnt has CD player, thats why the jack is behind the display lid.

i think will be quite hard because the acrylic ( transparent plastic) itself is already orange, unless u manage to find outside that has the same white acrylic for sales, or specially custom made? blue one might looks nice, as it goes well with the blue light for pedals and the door side step city.

QUOTE(Mr Cola @ Dec 26 2008, 08:54 PM)
Yup. Really hope get good news call from our SA before 31-March. Free RM625 woh!!!  rclxms.gif  Somemore I'm thinking of City every now and then. Keep thinking whil i'm test driving it. The comfortable, spacious interior, power, and etc. omg..!!
*
yup same same haha. been thinking of it since one of the forumer of team-BHP india spy shot the lightly camouflaged silver city i think some time back in april/may. as long connected to internet, sure the first thing is surf more pictures and info about the new city haha sweat.gif

just now at the show room, i noticed the black soft rubble materials is kinda low quality built. like the insulators by the door to prevent water from coming into the cabin, the air intake by the engine bay to name a few. it gives the impression if put under the sun everyday, sure will deteriorate very very fast. then the hard plastic like the dash and door panels...hmmm too thin maybe 1 to 2cm max that gives the impression of hollowness which felt like cheap plastic.

after that went for test drive the city. very nice! the experience is so much better than the previous model i test drove few months back. hmm not to say this new city is under power, but its very smooth and pleasant. and im the only will be riding this car, so power wise is ok for me. can feel the gear changing because no longer using CVT in fact i like it haha biggrin.gif the engine sound at 3k is still tolerable, at least for me, and when turn on music its hardly noticeable. i played the paddle shifter a little, come to think of it, its quite useless actually, its just something extra to play with when there are not much car on the road.

as for the leather gear nob, i cant tell the diff. rear passenger aircond...well i can feel there some cold air blowing to my feet but i have no idea where its from.

my verdict: very satisfied driving experience, just like the 2 couples before me, smiling happily while exiting the All New City.

QUOTE(bluesky87 @ Dec 27 2008, 02:04 AM)
If I am not mistaken from what I read from the latest issue of Motor Trader it's also written there that Honda is planning to make 1.5k sets per month  rclxms.gif

Just came back from my Christmas trip to Singapore and the thread has spread more than 10 pages. Anyway since quite a few people did mention about the new city price in SG is expensive I think the only reason is Honda doesn't really care about the sales in SG.

What makes me say so is from what I observe in these 4 days in the ratio of 10 cars per model it'll be like 10 subaru, 9 lancer, 9 sonata, 8 lexus, 7 camry, 6 jazz, 5 vios, 5 wish, 5 estima, 4 civic, AMAZINGLY 3 LAMBO, 2 latest GTR, 1 accord, 1 city.

It seems like people in SG buy subaru like buying proton for us only while Toyota and Mitsubishi is their priority and yeah I only manage to see one Honda City and one Honda Accord in 4 days and yes I was out on the street all day long  wink.gif
*
ur rite, honda sedans are quite rare in singapore, mostly jazz. saw plentiful of old toyota cars on the road too as taxis tongue.gif actually nissan sedan cars are very well perceive over there like sylphy, sentra, etc. a lot of subaru impreza and mitsubishi lancer there especially can see em high speed on the highway at night. i like the car market there, highly competitive and if u like the car, u buy the car, not just T or H or no choice but force to buy P.
QUOTE(irenic @ Dec 27 2008, 08:02 AM)
i can enjoy both car. and maybe thats why i dont tend to kutuk any of the car. i praise where i shud need, and condemn when i need too..

well if only i have only city, i will praise the car, and not comparing it with others and saying that this car is better a to z. that sounds fanboyism..

and personally, i always live around honda. my 1st car was the ferio, then before this i used the civic 1.7, my mom used the civic 2.0 f2d (or issit fd2? tongue.gif)

so i'm just trying to be honest, but it does not welcome here. Honda people just wants to hear positive thing biggrin.gif sorry bout that!
*
hey no sweats bro, u can criticize the car anyway u wan since u have the point there. we really appreciate honest opinions. all lot of us do worship the new city and admire its strength but also hopefully to know and understand its weakness as well. not just blindly fanatically idolize it because its 1)honda and 2)90k price tag. the only comments are not welcome here is blind bashing and bias comments wink.gif

Earlier I was juggling colors between PMM and Blue. So I went to the showroom at Jln 222 as advised and had a good long look at both cars.

Here is my verdict....
Blue color gives the front section of the car stood out from the rest. The contrast of front grey section (with honda logo) vs blue body is very outstanding, plus drooling effect, hehe.

PMM gives me a boring feeling on the front section (not much contrast in color) but when I walked to the back and side of the car...fuiyoh!...elegant and sexy.

Black..you know..

This is gonna be a tough decision.
*
ya man, i know how u feel. other than the PMM and black, i also like DLBlue and BBeige. actually PMM from far maybe cant really see the contrast with the grille, but if take a closer look, the color itself is very unique and beautiful with 2 tone effects, with one being bright shining/reflective metallic cover by dark shading of black coating(2nd layer/tone).

would appreciate it if u type with your caplock off. besides, can ya pls comment the city with passion, rather just typing how good city and accord is compared to vios and camry with all the facts, words by words from the catalog, price list, magazine...etc sweat.gif cant help to think that u sound like a honda salesman. and if im wrong, im humbly apologize.

I am going for silver, cause like what you said easy maintenance. I am not the one who enjoys washing car and also do not enjoys giving out
money for others to wash my car. for the record i wash my wira probably 3-4 times a year! rclxub.gif
*
well said. to me its the best car around within this segment, some of the minor things that have been left out are not big deal to me, still embrace its beautifulness hehe. oh, i heard if install the auto/brake lock doesnt void the warranty. maybe someone can shed some light in this if planning to install it into the new city.

QUOTE(sysh @ Dec 27 2008, 08:41 PM)
About the speed.. never made it > 80 kph 'cos of heavy traffic..so dunno what's that.
Very loud is it? How many RPMs?
*
i manage to pay slight attention to the rpm, at 60kmph 1.8-2k rpm, at 80 about 2.5-2.8k rpm, 80kmp >2.8k rpm. it only noticeable when reach 3k or slightly above 80k rpm but still within my tolerance wink.gif

my SA told me.. interest rate will DEFINITELY goes down on early 2009
even we book the car now... but our interest will follow the latest rate ( which is 2.5% mayb)
so don worry... jz go ahead n smash ur $ on new city  biggrin.gif
*
hmm but 2.5% is for those with 90% loan or 9 yrs rite... still good news thumbup.gif

QUOTE(yaliqiu @ Dec 27 2008, 09:29 PM)
actually i prefer PMM which easier maintain... my current car is black and look terrible dirty after rain...  doh.gif
PMM look nice on accord.. i wonder how it look on city..  hmm.gif
*
mmm i like the black city very much although kinda fed up with black color car (partly becos of the heat too). because my previous car everytime after washing it, sure some a$$ will come 'draw' some artistic curly lines with their key. so for my new black city, after polish + wax, most probably gonna leave it quite some time until very very dirty haha. my opinion, PMM is quite easy to maintain because its grey can camouflage the dust a bit, unless if put side by side with a clean PMM la laugh.gif
