I am going for silver, cause like what you said easy maintenance. I am not the one who enjoys washing car and also do not enjoys giving out
money for others to wash my car. for the record i wash my wira probably 3-4 times a year! rclxub.gif
Haha!
But I think with the new City, like all new things..you will give it a lil more tender loving care and maybe wash it a few more times. nod.gif

Never mind la.. Curi curi drive more often..hehe!

Check out, There is rectangle shape plastic attach to the floor right beside the brake and they call that "Foot Rest" ..Pathetic ....
HM please improve on that lar or at least raise the level a bit.

And when I was going slightly above 105km/hr, I heard the engine roaring or more correctly "noising" ....now which one is that?
Well, at least it has a footrest. Better than some cars..don't even have it.
But maybe i'll check it out again to see how lousy it is.

About the speed.. never made it > 80 kph 'cos of heavy traffic..so dunno what's that.
Very loud is it? How many RPMs?

any1 familiar wif ECOTINT?

Added on December 27, 2008, 8:38 pm

my SA told me.. interest rate will DEFINITELY goes down on early 2009
even we book the car now... but our interest will follow the latest rate ( which is 2.5% mayb)
so don worry... jz go ahead n smash ur $ on new city  biggrin.gif
*
ECOTINT is quite okay. One of the better brands out there.
Oh, RM200 cash voucher only? But do you have to buy the ECOTINT through him? I hope not.

The interest rates should go down in 2009. By how much, we dunno.
Right now it's about 2.9% Anyhow.. you'll only lock into the new rate once you get your loan
(ie. when you car is ready), no don't worry about it..

i manage to pay slight attention to the rpm, at 60kmph 1.8-2k rpm, at 80 about 2.5-2.8k rpm, 80kmp >2.8k rpm. it only noticeable when reach 3k or slightly above 80k rpm but still within my tolerance wink.gif

Was that at 5th gear? > 80kph @ >2.8k rpm. That's quite high

Booked my E-spec PMM City 2 days before the official launch. I've seen the car at one of the show room before the launch & I could only express with the word "awesome". Never get the chance to test drive because it is forbidden then. The price tag is yet to confirm then. Normally I'll test drive & think twice if not gazillion times before the decide the purchase. But hey... impulsive buying behavior get the better side of myself  sweat.gif

No turning back now... best of luck to bros & sis who get the first batch City like myself  rclxm9.gif
*
Nice. Think quite a number of ppl booked first before the launch. I booked the S-Spec first, thinking that the E-Spec would be very exp. Wasted la.. now have to wait 3 months..sigh cry.gif

that time i just reached the hill top, thats why its higher than usual i suppose, probably still within the 4th gear. the rest are on normal road condition. hmm always wanted to do another test drive at evening...maybe till then i check again wink.gif

hmm i gave up my first booking...suppose there goes one lucky fler. anyway me too read from autocar jan issue that HM has decided to expand the production rate of city to 1.5k units per month. its good news for consumers to get the car faster...but...i kinda worry about the quality because it has becoming a mass products. good luck!
*
I See. Maybe when you test drive again, you can let us know
At 110kph.. what the rpm is. It should be < 3k rpm

So in the Autocar Jan issue, HM said they will increase production to 1.5k per month? Cool. Did they say proportion E-Spec and S-Spec?
What was their production before this? 1k per month?

yup, jus did a quick browse thru trying to dig for more info of the city this afternoon. all i can remembered is increased to 1.5k per month but it didnt say how many previously though. couldnt manage to buy it because was with a friend in a rush.
*
Cool. thanks, bro. Will try go for a test drive myself if possible one of these days.
Problem is..usually don't have roads where I can go up to 110 kph to do the benchmarking.

Will try to find the mag in the news stand too, if I can.

I really got no idea on this tinting stuffs and I have not fixed in any of my previous cars too. My SA is offering
B-kool (not v) at around RM980 and it's a special price for me and he said for others it's 1200.
Any idea ...?
IMHO, I'll stay away from those "cheaper" type tint. in this case, B-Kool.. V-Good.. V-Cool.
I'll pay a little more for the more established brands, to be on the safe side.

How about the security alarm with City? Anybody consider to enforce the car security? Not sure if this car is going to be one of the car thief list but it would be pain in the a** if lose the car anytime soon while still paying loan.
*
I'll get the security film and those proper (RM200+) steering + gear-type lock as a deterrent. I don't wanna mess up the alarm system and other electrical stuff in the car.

Btw...I was just wondering.
Are the tyres for the E-Spec Goodyear GT3 (i.e. the same as the S-Spec) albeit being 185/55/R16?

'Cos the Modulo kitted E-Spec was using Goodyear Excellence. I thought I read in MTM or AutoWorld that we'll be getting the basic GT3

Goodyear GT3

Goodyear Excellence

The last time I spoke to my SA, he wasn't sure. He gave me some nonsense about it depends on the manufacturer. Can be different brands. I was ..uh, ok.

I hope it's the Excellence for the E-Spec though

Yeah I love Sparkle Gray Pearl especially on Civic I think probably they will have it on City sooner or later maybe reserve for facelift.

i suggest you buy the new stream. you can get white colour for stream. isn't it?my neighbour bought the new stream last month, white colour. he tinted it with black colour tint and replace the original sport rims with the new black 17" alloy rims. the car looks very nice. he also plans to customize his car with mugen aerokit.  thumbup.gif
*
Err.. that's kinda irrelevant for me. As much as I love the Stream, but it's way out of my budget and I don't really fancy a 7 seater.
With that cash, I'd buy an FD2 instead for practical reason.

If anything, I'll re-spray it in the future with that color nod.gif

Nope. There are a host of differences ranging from engine, chassis, interior & exterior design etc.
In short, it's more or less a different car..like how the Vios Pre-07 is to the Vios Dugong

hmm actually this city is a totally new car built from scratch which is why they call it All-New City. as for dugong vios i think other than changing the body shell and add some minor tech like DBWire, its still the same car. notice the doors are the same too.

Yea.. was actually trying do a simple comparison for him. Like a different generation unlike a face lift.

QUOTE(keii-kun @ Dec 29 2008, 01:40 PM)
well, have test drive, rammed the car to 7k rpm (to test the i-vtec open). a bit disappointed , but it is a CITY after all. 1.5 i-vtec gives u mild vtec feel.

but the cabin quietness is ok, during vtec open, u can hear a small 'praang' but that's it. it dies at 7k rpm.

was disappointed with the price and HM. it should priced lower or with more features. now i even realized that modulo E-spec got Goodyear excellence..hmmm....
rm4,750 for modulo kit is way too expensive for me, heavy 16" modulo rim is RM2480, might as well get kedai potong 16" japan lightweight. better.

btw, did u guys know that Thailand's release got Modulo Grille oso, damn nice....

in India, u can get White, and manual trans. price? less than RM60K.
Honda India : Honda Citywebsite more detailed info for City compared to HM.

in conclusion, my wife likes it and booked and confirmed PMM. arriving march. Squeezed the salesman for free test drive shirt and card holder laugh.gif

as for tinting, HM / Kah motor gives RM500 voucher for a Kah Motor-Vcool tint (vcool is their partner here), so a tint with 63% infrared tint, costs RM1700 or can go to Vcool and get 15% discount for tinting.
*
Ok. We've got our 30 confirmed buyer nod.gif

It's good that you were able to reach 7k RPM. I wasn't able to hit > 4k 'cos of the busy road. Anybody know when does the iVtec opens?
Well.. HM can't really price their cars too low, it's supposedly their marketing strategy to be a "premium" brand. I'm happy that it didn't breach 90k.
But you are correct, the Modulo kit is way too expensive and it doesn't even come with the Modulo Grille.
But I think we cannot compare the pricing of other countries e.g. Thailand or India especially looking at our lovely tax structure. Look at Langkawi's price. RM60k only (E-Spec)

When did you book? Just today or a few days ago. And location? Just trying to determine the queue.
V-Cool or V-Kool? They're 2 different brands..
