How about Nokia N85, the specs are considerably good and the OLED display is brilliant. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack.

I didnt like the 5800XM that much becuz most of the time, i sms without looking at the screen. >.<"

By slightly increasing your budget, you may consider SonyEricsson's w595 or w910.

Hi

Would appreciate a recommendation based on the following info:

I have been using Nok Communicator first model then 9500 (stolen) and then the 9300i.

I'm happy with the 9300i as it meets my needs but now need to faster access speeds so looking for a phone with 3.5G, Wi-Fi, full QWERTY keyboard, fax and good browser. I have tried the X1 (cant sync with my Mac), had a look at the HTC touch pro. My 2nd phone is an Iphone 3G (personal line phone) and in my personal opinion its OS & User interface in terms of ease of use is way ahead of the Win Mobile OS. If the X1 had used Symbian OS things may have been very different. Also because first and foremost I want a phone rather than a pocket PC, having to use a stylus to get things done is not my thing.

Basically I want a smaller 9300i with current tech. Open budget. Any ideas? E90 no thanks, thats a brick not a phone.

Many thanks & Regards

i would be asking opinion for LG KP500 COOKIE

saw it on the tv, youtube and all... but i need an opinion from the person who already used it..

my questions are:

how long is the battery life (consider heavy usage)?
how is the processor speed?
how is the music player? (playlist feature, album art etc) is the playlist userfriendly?

thank you

1. Brand: Any
2. Budget: RM 2.5k or less
3. Specs: HSDPA, doesn't lag (I hate phones with slow response), front camera, wide enough screen for web, good battery life.
4. Type/Size: Medium.

- Some ppl recommend me to get iphone or a HTC phone? Are those actually good choices? Or others better.

2. RM800-RM899
3. 3in touchscreen display, accelerometer, widgets, etc. etc.
4. Candybar

I am an LG Cookie user..

1) Define heavy usage. If you send about 20 SMS a day, and listen music 30 mins, maybe 4 days can tahan. If not, up to a week,

2) Phone speed is slow because it doesn't use OS, it's just an active Flash UI.

3. Music Player is just like a SE Walkman or whatever, and yes its user friendly. Easy to use.

For more info, I suggest you hang out by the LG Cookie forum in Lowyat.Net.. here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/805613

for that price-range and what fits your requested specs, i would suggest se k770i... it does have all the listed requirement around and the camera does have an auto focus...

That's it ? No other criteria except for a good battery life ? In this case you might want to consider SonyEricsson's w350 which is rated to have a talk time of 11.78 hours or Nokia's 1680 which is rated to have 12.23 hours of talk time. The tests were conducted by CNET.
