Welcome to the SEVENTH EDITION of one of the hottest topic discussion.
This is a special thread for everybody out there that need Professional recommendations on buying a new handphone...

To request recommendation, what u need to post:

1. Brand.
2. Budget.
3. Specs.
4. Type/Size. (Candybar, Clamshell etc...)

I Don't mind camera and Music players (Not a Camwhore and I got my iPod touch to do that), I just need a phone that can last 2 years in both style and function.

1st Person

1. Brand: Anything.
2. Budget: Less than RM 2500
3. Specs:Has wi-fi/3G/3.5G/Qwerty or not doesn't matter/Has camera/can fit in ordinary earphone without extra adapter/ bluetooth/has memory card slot/plays mp3/gps/ must be symbian60 or wm/has alarm clock/video calling/must have usb port
4. Type/Size: Slide or Candybar (can fit into office pants pocket) and user-friendly to fingers. For business man.

2nd Person

1. Brand: Anything
2. Budget: Less than RM 1500
3. Specs: Easy navigation and user friendly in OS, big fonts and big numbers, plays mp3, bluetooth, easy navigation to send/receive sms/has memory card slot/has 3G/has camera/can fit in ordinary earphone without extra adapter/video calling/must have usb port
4. Type/Size: Anything, but not too bulky. For lady user. Interesting design

3rd Person

1. Brand: Anything
2. Budget: Nil
3. Specs:Has 3G/3.5G/Wifi/ plays mp3/ has memory card slot/no boring OS or preferable s60 or s40/bluetooth/can fit in ordinary earphone without extra adapter/camera must be higher than 2mp/has radio and alarm clock/video calling/must have usb port

2. Budget. = i guess my budget is too low for the specs, rm700+ but just recommend me the phone, i try to topup somehow.

3. Specs. = S60 with wifi

4. Type/Size = does not matter


so far only e51 fits, 2nd would be se 705 but it at rm1k =/
any ideas? thx

Hello. Congrats on ver 7 and many thanks for advices/suggestions

1. Brand - prefer Samsung, nokia. NO SE!
2. Budget - RM800
3. Emphasis on big quality screen, good & loud sound
4. Camera at least 3.0mega pixel but can live with 2.0Mp
5. Prefer non-candy bar & good casing design but not critical
6. 3G n internet connectivity not important

1. Brand: Not preference if the phone itself is good.
2. Budget: RM1000+
3. Specs: Good camera and music performance. Easy and no lagging for SMS. I don't like to have a phone which requires few steps to change the language and not great at chinese input. Nokia messenging system is quite nice.
4. Type/Size: I've used K800i and N82 before and lost them both in the toilet... doh.gif sad.gif so candybar phone might be a bit boring to me.

What I have read about and quite interested in are the Nokia E71, SE W980i and SE C902. I don't mind getting a N82 again if it really pawns.
