I'm currently using a WM5 phone and I love it so far, aside from the fact that it is unstable at times and shuts down on me when I load too much on the multimedia side...

But I absolutely love the web browsing experience!

Anyway, I'm thinking of switching to a new phone and my dilemma lies here - I've been advised to get a Symbian based phone (for multimedia, better GPS and better memory space) or a Blackberry (emails, web applications).

What is the web browsing experience like for a Symbian or a Blackberry? Is it a full browser like IE mobile?

For me, I only have 2 main criteria - GPS and Web browsing (includes emails, logging into CRM from my mob, etc). Which platform gives the best experience for GPS & Web browsing?

2. Budget. RM700-1200 (mayb a few bux xtra)
3. Specs. want good camera, not only MP wise, clear too. and with xenon flash

Dude, then u r wrong...N95 really lag...i tried it b4...but n95 8gb not...technically , n95 has only 64mb of ram while n95 8gb has 128 mb ram which is same with n82 and 5800...

i mean the photos of the n85 itself not the camera capabilities of n85...

so its not as pretty as it looks in real

Lastly, i bought my handphone. It's N82. But i'm new symbian user. Nid some help... Why i can't run N-Gage base on my home wireless network? It nvr ask me which network to use then connect through 3G. Ate me RM3!! I changed the connection settting but it still use 3G. Nid help on this. Can anyone guide me to N82 thread??

since i am a noob what is a symbian?

I will be getting Celcom broadband in coming months. Instead of buying a 3G modem, I thought of getting a 3G phone as modem so that I could still get online even when I'm out without carrying my laptop (bloody heavy).

What I need is a 3G phone that serves as a 3G modem, great internet device, big touch screen for more comfortable browsing, and cheap.

5800 seems to be a good choice, but it's still quite pricey. Even a second hand cost nothing less than RM900. Perhaps the price will drop drastically in coming 3 months after the N97 is out?

Symbian is like windows XP or windows Vista and operating system .

Symbian is for Nokia phones

Window mobile is for PDA phones

LG viewty do not have an OS.

Symbian enables your phone to exceed its original limitation like install better games , better applications, etc etc to improve your mobile phone experience.
Same like SE and LG if the phone is design for 1 thing until u throw away its only 1 thing but phones with OS if its design for 1thing later in future ure able to install more than 1 thing to suit your needs.
