i'm thinking of which phone to get budget around 1400.
my main thing i want is gps, wifi and maybe some useful and helpful software.
the phone i'm eyeing is nokia 5800 now.. any other suggestions?

but 5800 XM is ok if you like the touch phone..

N85 and 5800 XM has gps,wifi..and many more..
but N85 is better..
because it is 5 megapixel phone...has fm transmitter..S60V3 FP2 phone...[more software available than S60V5[5800 XM]]

What is the lowest price for a phone that can use wi-fi? Just curious~ I heard that SE C905 can be laggy.. is it true?

Nokia 5800XM is great if you want a best bang buck for a touch screen phone. If you care about the camera, go for N82 or newer model N85.

for wifi i recommend nokia 5800 TUBE or any N series phone. Because u can take advantage of its symbian so u can use your phone with WIFI for many many things not only camera and normal web browser and thats all.

Symbian can become a webcam, MIC, connect to tV like HIFI system , Use multi messenger and many many more play online games via wifi with another friend

If no budget, you can consider models such as HTC Touch HD and Omnia. Both are good phones as well.

for the lowest price it depends actually, i think you have to go look around and find a phone with your budget, 5800 should be okay as it has a good speaker, basically its a decent phone. well if you have more, do go for other N-series, or a PDA's.

yeah the brand such as HTC,is better if you like pda...
