Mechanic said the whole system is gone. How much is the price to replace the whole system (ori compressor)?

Hi, do you service Mitsu Triton? Last service must have been 3 years ago. Now its just not cold enough.

I am driving a Hyundai Accent 00' model. There is a high pitch sound like "vew~~~" when I accelerate the car when compressor is running. See my mechanic, he suspects not enough lubricant then added for me, but then the sound still remain. The air cond is still running cold just the sound is annoying... Can you roughly tell me what is the problem? Is the air compressor dying or?

And today I found out that the compressor does not cut off when idling, the air blow out is cool still... What caused such problem? Is it part of the reason because overfilled of air cond lubricant?

i need some advise from u regarding my air cond situation, my car air cond (satria 1.6, 1996) actually very cold  till march this year(i bought it 2nd hand on 2009) where the air flow from the a/c vent start to block after some driving around 30 minutes, i need to off the a/c for a while then turn on then it will be ok and the a/c is still very cold, then the problem will repeat again and again as long as im driving.

i go to an a/c mechanic around my area(shah alam) on april and they told me that problem came from my thermostat sensor(rm140) which i need to replace. they said i need to service(rm110+ gas rm40) the a/c becoz  the sensor is attached to the cooling coil. so i just agree with the suggestion. during the servicing process they asked me to replace the valve(rm140) near the coil and the filter(seems like a tube or can)(rm70) too. so i have paid rm500 for the job.

then the blocking problem have gone but i can feel the a/c is not very cold anymore. when i ask the mechanic they say its normal and asked me to wait around 2-3 days for the a/c to be normal back. I've waited for a week and the a/c still the same and i notice it not cold at all when its hot outside on afternoon and not so cold when its not hot outside during daytime and only cold during the night. 

when i go back to the mechanic, they said may be need to top up the gas abit more(from 23psi earlier to 30 psi) and i end up paying another rm40. they asked me to test it around another week. no different after a week waiting then i go back to the mechanic again to complain. then they suggest me to re service back as they suspect something may be wrong and i may end up paying more if they encounter other problem within my a/c system. i started to get fed up with their behavior and i refuse to follow their advise at that moment.

so my question now, am i being conned here? what are the advise and solution for my problem? what is the estimation on the cost to fix the problem as im still a university student where my cash flow is not as smooth as working people.

Need help on my 2004 Ford Ranger AC problem.  Yesterday, otw back home (in KL traffic jam) the cabin starts to warm up slowly.  After about 30 mins, its totally like a sauna in the cabin.

I presume, gas is leaking somewhere.  But later i check, the compressor clutch is not engaging.  i am pretty sure it was working when the incident happen.  Could the leak cause clutch not engaging or damage the compressor?

Went to a local repair shop, that guy said "compressor leaking,change new compressor".

My car has this zzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound coming from the compressor at idle, if rev above 1500rpm or driving normally no sound. But air con is cold
What is the problem? Can it be repaired? I checked with one guy he said this is a rotary compressor going to kaput.

Bro, I already service my aircond.. Change filter, coil, refill..last month Bla..bla..etc.. But now I only feel angin from blower.. Tak sejuk... BUT bila jalan baru sejuk...what is the problem actually.. Tired of this thing... Spent a lot for aircon but failed at last... Is my compressor problem?

been driving for 20 years now.....

for a/c problems....just some experiences of mine.....

- usually a/c start problems after 5/6/7 years with refilling 134a after the 3rd/4th year
- lots of money wasted for a/c maintenance changing itu ini begitu begini
- tried many a/c workshop....the best only last for 2 years....then leaked here and there....changed all new but a/c cold won't last for a year

- change all ori parts also don't guaranty for top and long lasting cold 
- change 2nd hand from halfcut.....depends on your luck
- change recond and want to save more but end up more $$$$ 

i have wasted a lot for a/c maintenance and i believed many peoples are having same problems.....

once my friend said, they could produce 100% top quality product not only cars but everything.....but there will be no after services or maintenance done by customers so there will be no new business/opportunities for workshop/spare parts.....

nowadays bmw/merc/toyota/honda/nissan/mitsubishi and so on ( google for their problems, more luxury car more $$$ to maintain ).....and entire of businesses around the world also dragging into this scam of money hungry activities.....well that's the way it is.....money.....money.....money

lastly my advice.....no need to major repair and no pening kepala  .....but hey, still new cars got some problems that's why the cycle keeps to continue....just use your car for 7 years than sell it up  .....don't expect too high on car's quality nowadays.....wear and tear too quickly....
