I downloading at max 180kB/s (1mbps line)! Thank you so much!

Are you using Streamyx?
AFAIK, the maximum/capped download speed for 1MBPS Streamyx line is only 100 KB/Sec.
If you can bypass throttling with uTorrent, the speed you should be getting still shouldn't exceed 100 KB/Sec but you're getting 180 KB/Sec.
Or the uTorrent can even bypass the maximum/capped speed limit? brows.gif

that is because he is capped at 2046kbps (DL) even though is 1mb line. Just like me. This is not we bypass or what , is the technician capped it that way at the port.

I'm currently using utorrent 1.9beta
while downloading torrent, my speed varies significantly, like rollercoaster. It will go up to bout 90kb/s then drops down to 30+ or 40+ then climb back up again to bout 100, then drop down again to bout 30kb/s. All these are within minutes. It never stays consistent at all.
I followed the utorrent settings from the video posted up by v3nz and also changed the bt.transp_disposition to 10.
I am currently on 1mbps of streamyx line.
Does changing to utorrent 2.0 help? thanks

Do I need to remove any registry or anything other stuff of the 1.9 version before I install 2.0?

Ok I just switched to 2.0 beta, do I still need to apply the bt_transposition settings etc as seen in the first post in this thread?
