question why see some huge transactions for RESORTS, GENTING, BAT, TANJUNG, etc....recently, but why there are no SEC filing who is buying the major bulks of the shares....
any idea ??? isn't that any of major investor buy into these counters, need to declare e.g. all fund mgrs, EPF, PNB, tabung Haji etc.... |

QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Dec 19 2008, 05:20 PM) question why see some huge transactions for RESORTS, GENTING, BAT, TANJUNG, etc....recently, but why there are no SEC filing who is buying the major bulks of the shares.... Buying/selling for any investors that holding below 5% of shareholding don't need to declare.any idea ??? isn't that any of major investor buy into these counters, need to declare e.g. all fund mgrs, EPF, PNB, tabung Haji etc.... So if EPF is holding below 5% of the counter, even they bought big in term of millions of share, they are not required to declare unless more than 5% which is the threshold to be considered substantial shareholder. Those transaction although big but not all necessary come from one party only. Also those volume might look big for retailers, in fact some may just a few % of the outstanding share of the company. Just like Genting has 3 billions shares so 5% is 150 millions share, daily transaction how many? mostly in 5-20 millions only. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Dec 19 2008, 05:26 PM) Buying/selling for any investors that holding below 5% of shareholding don't need to declare. thanks.... for the clarification, so i guess...... one can forms many investment funds to take over a counter but yet the floating will restrict how many shares they can grab.....
