can i know about basic quality of a gaming headset?

fps games demands the most from a headset and its needed to determine where the shot is fired from or the sound of footsteps. so basically clarity of sound and good directional audio is a must.

what brand is consider for low-budget gaming+movie+music headphone?

i used to have this AVF headset, the cord is like SteelSeries cord (how to say aaa?), the mic and the headset comfort enough... not bad la for RM29.90

'sup guys. Using HP-1 here, overall I'm pretty satisfied with its sound accuracy, and it's double as a wow factor among my friends. Haha.. Tho I must say, the bass is lacking. But I do enjoy the vibrating effect when there's explosion around me

ive used 5.1 speakers and my Audio Technica A500 headphones for them...



i get better positioning with the headphones...



better sound quality only meh???

its better in EVERY way compared to that fragile piece of crap razer is conning people with...

Got Baracuda but suks so damn fragile my screws came off and it fell apart.(so threw it away)

Sound quality decent lah but sound needs to be louder.

urgh the pleather pads on the A500 make my ears sweat like mad. i think i'll change them out to the ad700 velour pads when i get the chance. positioning is awesome though =D

i changed the pads on my A500 to the leather earpads of the A1000

if u use the velour pads it might change ur sound signature....even the leather pads changed the sound signature on my A500...

i read head-fi and some said the velour pads are thinner....maybe those a1000 pads would be better actually. how much do they change the sound?
