Escape Artist is really not bad... can see some control warlocks loving that new Gnome rare.
Also, Emmi Sprinkestrike just became awesome such a wonderful supporting cast. Added on June 4, 2009, 10:01 amWill of the Forsaken, however... this is FU***ING BROKEN! http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/...e.aspx?aid=6011 This post has been edited by Tentris: Jun 4 2009, 10:01 AM |

Usually, direct dmg cards are very valuable, its a tremendous waste to use it just to kill a WotF card.

Of course, nothing is invulnerable in this game. WotF is almost like the Horder version of "untargetable". Good but not unstoppable. Its just an additional variable that a deck needs to consider.

Wow look at the North American Championship prize structure.
#150 gets 12 boosters. LOL. Their prizes are insanely good. Added on June 4, 2009, 5:24 pmhttp://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/OP/tournaments/article_blank.aspx?aid=5215 This post has been edited by Tentris: Jun 4 2009, 05:24 PM |

QUOTE(Tentris @ Jun 4 2009, 05:14 PM) Wow look at the North American Championship prize structure. Lol what to do, cost is way lower dollar to dollar. If a booster pack here cost RM3, we will also be throwing it out as prizes #150 gets 12 boosters. LOL. Their prizes are insanely good. I got an email from Scott Landis recently (he's a top 10 US wow tcg player), asking whether i have access to Chinese Edition WoW TCG cards.
During DMF Singapore, Brad, Ben, et al were buying up all the Chinese language cards they could get their hands on. Apparently, thats the new craze among top US players! LOL. Chinese editions cards are the new EAs. |

Yeah, the Korean ones too.
Added on June 8, 2009, 9:40 amTB wants the community to grow so we can justify a DMF KL. This was my response. Posting it here for visibility. http://www.toybox.com.my/blog/?p=290 QUOTE Actually, in all seriousness, i'm pretty sure we have the numbers to justify a DMF. Malaysia is a big place, and the player base is not just KL/Selangor. If you're going to pull this off, you need coordinate efforts with CC. I know he ships product to Penang... who buys the product there? Do they have BGs there? How many players there? Also, if you want to get an accurate gauge of the real numbers of players, you should hold a large event, publicize it heavily and get as many players in to participate as possible (yes, this means working with CC, possibly with Cardmaster, and any other hobby shops). This will give you a "real" indication of how many players we have, especially if you can attract players from the other parts of the country to come and participate. How? The prizes gotta be really good. Not outlandish but good. First prize a box of boosters? Or a case of minis? Something of that magnitude. Expensive? yes, of course, but thats the reason for collaboration - if 4-5 shops pool together their resources (and everyone gets something out of it at the same time), then the costs of the event will stay low for each individual shop. But this sort of effort requires a RINGLEADER (i think i've mentioned this to Ong before), and right now, no one wants to take up the role; why not TB? The heart of the effort is the coordination, not the money or costs - thats all just consequential. Put posters up at these shops, standing banners, etc. Get in touch with the newspapers, hobby section. Give them a write up (so the lazy reporter won't have to write it himself; this actually dramatically increases the chances it'll be published, believe me, i've done it before). Print flyers that each shop is committed to distribute to its customer base. Get in touch with local university's gaming community, ask them to participate; maybe even have a subsection of the competition as a leaderboard to the country's top gaming university - this will encourage competition amongst them. The ideas are endless, really. The last event at MMU was not done properly, imo, due to lack of collaboration and long-term planning. Not telling you how to run the business, but this is my sincere comment to improve the game. It was a TB event, not a TCG/Minis event. That was the problem. DMF KL is a TCG/Minis event, and even in DMF Singapore, i saw intense cooperation between Popcorn Gaming and the rest of the gaming community there, that's how they made it happen. Hansen was the ringleader, for sure, but he wasn't alone. If we can organize a premier event of the scale of DMF KL without it being a DMF... this will go a long way to prove to UDE that we can do it. Invite the Singaporeans to participate too, to buff the numbers. It'll take a lot of work, for sure, and it'll be expensive in the short run (chances are good you'll make up the money from the profits of the event + future sales from new players attracted to the event). But then again, thats what its going to take to hold a DMF. If we dont have the stomach to properly plan and execute a large event that will prove to UDE that we can handle a DMF, what makes us think we will be able to handle an actual DMF? Imo, the least of our worries is the player base, if a future DMF is the actual objective we have in our sights. This post has been edited by Tentris: Jun 8 2009, 09:40 AM |

Well, we are planning something. Something big hopefully. Just ironing out the people we want to approach.
Anyway... http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/...e.aspx?aid=6045 Death Knight! |
