Good way to practice for Realms i suppose...

Should make the format same as Realms, imo. That would be the best for practice purposes. 3 rounds constructed, 3 rounds draft.

Where is the best place to stay in Singapore for RCs and also the DMF?

I'm trying to plan and book the rooms.

Added on April 2, 2009, 10:04 amthis place looks nice. got lots of good reviews, cheap, well connected via MRT.

Added on April 2, 2009, 10:17 amBudget hostel, only US$22 a night.

Would be awesome if we can share a 4-bed room all just Malaysians, that will make things easier.

generally, wtf man, singapore is a ridiculously expensive city to visit. everywhere is just expensive.

Added on April 3, 2009, 3:07 pmDMF Singapore is 22-24 May!

http://www.popcorngaming.com/dmf/

I'm planning on attending, and i'm looking for a partner to go with me (to share costs & for company).

Official DMF Singapore hotels include the Golden Landmark, SG$150 a night for 2 persons, inclusive breakfast and unlimited WIFI in room.

Flying in on 22 May early morning flight, then flying back to KL 24 May, evening flight.

Total costs expected:

RM360 for accomodation (2 nights, at SG$75 a night, your share)
RM400 for travel (flights are cheap, about RM90 one-way, but i'm including other costs too such as taxi to-fro airport etc).
RM500 spending money at Singapore.

If you're interested to join me and share this trip, please contact me. I volunteer to make all the arrangements for both of us (or help pair up others who want to go if there is a large interest).

Hey Tentris, For RC you may want to consider this place: http://asiatravel.com/singapore/victoria/i...JGGSG02330&lan=

HoTel Victoria. This is where we stayed the last time (12 people, don't ask how) It is near SMU and 5 minutes walk from the MRT

After view the DMF event schedule, I conclude that there are not constructed format for wow TCG.
There are constructed format for wow Minis only, and the prizes for it quite attractive than wow TCG.
What TCG can get is ipod, ipod, voucher for audio system etc.

The players are contemplating which would be more fruitful I guess.

IMO both are good!! The fact that we have such options is really a privilege for the WoW players. I have not seen such support for this game in this region until now.

Players! Speak up! We want to hear your thoughts!!

Mate, Realms Championship is on 16th & 17th May 2009. One week before DMF. Which is causing the dilemma mentioned above.

Personally speaking. I would love to make it to both!! thumbup.gif

DMF is open to everyone. But look at the price per entry for each event... quite ridiculous. Personally, i'm only interested in two events. The Constructed Spectral Safari, and the main DMF Sealed tournament.

I'll probably be making both RC and DMF, so we'll see. Its a bit pricey to attend both, but still manageable if you can find cheap accommodation in Singapore.

Up to yesterday, i didn't know anyone who was going for the DMF. Now it seems, i don't know anyone who is going to the RC! hahahaahah.... going over to TB tonight to discuss things with Ong et al.

The DMF is by far the more prestigious event, and its the first time ever in Asia, and maybe wont come back here for several years (next year it could be DMF Manila, or even DMF Beijing). So it makes sense not to miss it.

However, RCs is what we've been playing for these last few months. So i would feel terrible not to go and let the singaporeans have it all their own way! Don't forget a free trip to Worlds 2009 is the main prize for RC! Thats better than anything on offer in the DMF.

So yeah, if possible, if got kaki, i'll go for both. But if i really had to choose only one event between the two, i've got to say, i'd rather go where all the other Malaysians are going. Ramai2 baru fun2, if you know what i mean.

Mate, keep up the practice. We aren't that far off the competition!! In agreement to your earlier comment, I'd have to say that DMF does look the more spectacular event

But if we look closer to this weekend, toybox will be offering a free ride for the winner to RC!! So for those who want to make it to both, well here is a good chance to save some $$$$$

So don't forget to pre-register!!

2 EAs from the following selection:

EA Mojo Doctor Zin'tar
EA Treewarden Tolven
EA Meeting with the Master
