You understanding about PS3/XBOX360 displaying on LCD TV is totally wrong. Both consoles look great displaying on LCD TV compared to CRT. Best LCD TV is of course FULL HD panel. Equipped with the right software (games running at 1080p), the result will be stunning. Xbox got hardware scaler, so most games will look better on a 1080p TV.
