Hi.

Yesterday I checked through Poslaju Track and Trace then I found that my parcel has been held by the customs, due to high-value good suspected. I have not yet receive their letter but I've called to Poslaju center and they provide me the JK number (not sure what's that, but according to the officer there, it's like a serial number for me to collect my parcel at the customs) May I know is there anyone here ever collect parcels/goods from customs without the letter? I don't want to waste my time to wait for the letter. And this is the first time my parcel being held.. I really have no clue why since the value is not more than RM300. Please tell me what do I need to bring to there, etc.

Thanks
suppaman

The letter that is to show hold by the custom. If don't have you still could go there. However, make sure you carry the invoice that is issued by your supplier.

If this product is a gift then you can just go there and explain to them. If your product is a telephone, then it might get hold cuz need sirim approval. I think you need to go pos laju at LCCT

my advise is be is go there....bring your invoice then ask the pos malaysia to make the calculation of how much tax you need to pay then with that amount go to custom counter and start negotiating with them...never ask pos malaysia to settle for you coz its expansive normally...

pls be polite, say nice words...and beg for reducement (if kena taxlah) btw what item is that? is't a mobile phone? if so you need AP from SIRIM....normally item less then RM500 (item value plus shipping cost) there will be no tax...

shoes, leather, beg, jersey, clothes etc is taxable...

if they insist to tax pls open the item infront of them (i hope that item is similiar with what you declare and no additional item inside...if not sure kena tahan !) for false declaration...

p/s: i go there monthly basis for my USA shipment...hehehe
