I've had good experiences with CIMB. Moving my business from tiger bank to them soon wink.gif

CIMB good meh? been their customer for more than 15 years, sooo many bad experience, especially at the more upscale branch (with preferred centre). These are worst experience.

1. Onetime go their branch, they look at me one kind. Of course it is workday and i wear slippers and shorts cause on leave, don't want to entertain me. Sit there waiting for my number to come up, the branch manager approach me and say "You want to update book? Then come back later, now peak hours." WTF, I was sitting there quietly, never disturb anyone and I want to make transaction! How the manager can assume I just want to update book??!?

2. Go to their branch, want to take TT form, wait wait, then ask got form? The lady just hand over to me with sour face. NVM. Go fill up and deposit at branch, then the lady at counter charge me RM 20 for TT, i say not RM 10 meh? She go ask this one that one and then her manager only can confirm RM 10. Took me 1 hour to do the damm TT.

3. Want to do checking account, document all ready. He ask me how many accounts previously i have, i say got 2 saving accounts. He straight away say i am a liar, no one can have more than 1 savings! My face also go red and i take out my old passbooks, 1 from commerce bank, 1 from bumiputera bank, then he keep quiet already. The manager heard the commotion and then straight away come and approve the checking account immediately.

4. Another time go to counter do another TT, the woman's face like i owe them money like that. After start entering details, see account figure, then face brighten up. Then offer me this investment, that investment, this ILP and all kinds of things until i have to wait at counter 30 mins to hear her pitch. Say don't want, face become sour.

5. I get a lot of nonsense phone call from CIMB always try to sell me takaful, I always don't want and please don't call, yet they never fail to call again and again. Business very bad meh, until have to harass people like that?

Now I am moving most of assets to public bank, just because my salary is credited to CIMB i am doing transaction with them. Even if I am offered as a preferred status also i don't want mad.gif

Hmm my request to link my current account with my savings account in my CIMB ATM card, submitted in February 2010, was finally activated today. Very 'efficient' bank indeed. shakehead.gif

A few days ago, Hong Leong Bank mortgage centre sent me a letter to inform progressive release. The problem is ... while the letter is addressed to me, the info in the letter belongs to someone else. The letter's content is clearly not for my eyes!

I dunno how their system allow info from 2 different and unrelated customers into the same letter. (The bottom part of the letter is where my name and address is cc-ed, displayed in the window envelope and thus sent to me)

I have alerted their call centre and requested for an investigation and explanation as I, too, currently have a banking relationship with Hong Leong Bank. Though this relationship may be end very soon. This is a very serious blunder.

Maybe you 'accidentally' became guarantor for the other party. Guarantor receive a copy of loan release and payment as well. whistling.gif

Or maybe the other party use your IC to apply for loan as guarantor... better check with bank...
Call centre will not know as they are from separate department... need to check with loan officer in charge of the loan account...
To find who is the loan officer, check the loan document reference number.

If you are guarantor or co-loan owner then your name will be Cc at the bottom of loan documents, while the letter addressed to the main account holder.

This is a very common scam..
