i'm just hoping that the exploits will bring us far, then i'll jump and buy my first PSP-3000 (I don't own any, i just sold off my ps2 so that i can buy a psp)

Was there a rumour about a PSP2 or something?

add on:

ouch, no 3000 exploit. So, If I'm into homebrew, I'll have to settle for a PSP2000? =(

I don't know, but i don't think it would seeing that 32MB is pretty much useless these days. I have one though, got it when i bought my PSP1000 in 2005 smile.gif

Not on the PSP3K machines apparently, for the PSP2000 its possible, even with the latest motherboards.

just wondering..what does it mean by modded psp? is it the same as hacking your psp? coz i am thinking of trading off my psp for psp 2 if psp 2 is announced in e3..but the catch is the console must not be modded yet..hmm..

The tiff exploit works on both slims and 3k units, no problems at all.
At the very moment, it's just a "Hello World", but in a few days time (Tuesday as many say), HEN (Homebrew enabler) would be released for it, and only then homebrew would be able to run on them.

judging by the ps3,i think Sony are not scared of piracy anymore.
the next PSP would probably be unhackable for a long time(again, based on the ps3's situation atm smile.gif )

Added on April 19, 2009, 1:53 ambtw, anyone know if the phat's battery works on a psp slim?

Nope, it would fit very well actually. Very tightly, so there's no real chance of it dropping off. smile.gif
