I just signed up to RM99 advance package. They told me no port block, but I tested, the ports are still firewalled

If you're using windows mobile pda phone, this is normal. If I didn't download or upload anything, the phone will switch to 3G. But no worries, when you torrent or browsing, it will automatically switch back to HSDPA.
But, if you say when you download something then suddently switched to 3G and can't download anything, then you're facing the same problem as some of the forumers here (including me, but only happens lately) QUOTE(laconic13 @ Dec 14 2008, 06:39 PM) |

if u all wanna tryout edge, u can always set your dialer setting to gprs/edge only. the stability is the same. good for surfing. as what i'm doing right now. when i switch to hs/um only, it will give roaming sign, which
the sign of temporary server downtime. |

Help! Does anyone know to to get D-Link Mobile Router DIR-451 to work with Celcom 3g data card (Vodafone / Huawei)?
I can use the data card directly with my notebook using the supplied Vodafone Mobile Connect software with good signal. But when I slot it into the router, the router fails to detect any 3g signal and can't connect at all. I did a search in this forum and found a post in a die-down thread regarding this problem. Someone said it was due to "the pin in the data card" which it has to be removed in order for the router to access to the datacard. But I don't know how to do it. Can anyone shed some light please? |

Celcom careline reply when I'm complaining slow speed
"Reference is made to your recent e-mail. In response to your concern on the speed of the Broadband service, please be informed that the speed obtained will be depending on whether any throttling (upon usage reaching 5GB) has been enforced on the account based on our Fair Usage Policy. For your information, Mobile Broadband subscribers are bound by the said policy in order to ensure that no individual dominates (hogs) the bandwidth at all times and to ensure fairness to all other customer on the same network. This is as indicated in the Addendum to Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd Customer Agreement Form (CAF) which says "This addendum shall be read together with Celcom's CAF and terms and conditions on the use of Celcom Broadband Service". However, on the first day of the next billing cycle, the speed reduction will be removed and the affected customers will enjoy their subscribed speed again until they breach the 5GB data volume. On that note, our record unveils that your account has been throttled on 21 October 2008 and 22 November 2008 after exceeding the allocated usage volume mentioned. We hope we have clarified the matter and would like to thank you for your continued support. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Manage your account on line via Celcom Online Customer Service Urus akaun anda secara on line melalui Celcom Online Customer Service https://wsc.celcom.com.my/webselfcare/login.aspx <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Best regards Noor Azizah Mustapha Customer Correspondence Management Customer Interaction Management" |
