That local supplier stuffs looks okay to me. Are you buying any of those?

toda,
creative thinking, I like it! thumbup.gif
I picked up a drawer about 2 days ago... not for the T-Amp, but for another project. brows.gif
Since the new T-Amp is coming, I am using back the TA-2024 in my main system since 3 days ago. Damn, it still sound amazing and superb for a 10 watter! We'll see how the TA-2020 MkIII performs soon... wink.gif

toda,
At 89db/m the T-Amp should be able to drive the speakers.
You should have seen my speakers(also 89dB/m) and how easy my T-Amp is driving it wink.gif

but then many reviews suspected that the speakers has lower sensitivity than published figures... because it wants more power

anyway, I can use preamp or power amp connect to Tamp to boost power to speakers right?

I would not worry too much unless you have a very low eff. speakers!
The T-Amp itself is a power amp.. the use of a pre-amp will boost voltage gain for the appropriate playing levels.
Power amp? Thats a no no. shakehead.gif

Here's an interesting review on HLLY's TA-2020 with comparison to the TA-2024 for those who are (still)curious on what the TA-2020 has got to offer.

The player might be using an SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) which is okay with the T-Amp.
As long as you can get at least 12VDC, preferably 14VDC and no less than 2 amps.. then it should serve the TA-2020 well.

I got my TA2020 singing now. million thanks to Xtorm smile.gif

initial impression: not much different compared to my TA2024, not day and night difference.

If running 80% volume, it will clip at some music passages.
It might due to my power supply, using the same EI tranny setup as in my TA2024 (swap the amp circuit only)

Give it run in for sometime and 'see' how it goes.

Basically its a power amp. Whatever your source is. PC audio out can be one of them. If you have a good SC, why not!
