OkOk

Since some of u bought Crucial Ballistik ram from by lowyat seller where international warranty apply.

My case;

My Crucial Ballistik Ram(bling bling) 1066Mhz finally die on me.

Since i bought from sHawty,i pm him on 20 Oct morning 8:42am regarding the RMA.
I wait until the next day morning passing the 24hour....still tak ada pm

So, i try my luck RMA thru Crucial Website on 21 Oct morning and since i was a bit pissed off...lator the afternoon i posted my request again on this sales thread at 4:33pm,Post #229

the link
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/744220/+220

Guess what,15min lator i receive his reply thru pm....on RMA and the cost,and forgetting to include the address as well.
I didn't reply immediately since i have make the RMA request on Crucial Website.

Fast forward few day,still no answer from Crucial Website...
guess at that time,really no choice but have to fork out RM60 for RMA service thru Shawty although i think it pretty silly to pay and still wait for more than a month plus as what Mr Lonely inquiry,Post#232

the link
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/744220/+220

I request for sHawty address as i was prepared to send to him on 24 Oct 9:01am and only get the reply at nite 8:22pm which is fine by me.

However,Crucial approve my RMA the next day,25 Oct...which is a surprise.

Checking online Pos Office if i were to Pos Laju to USA will cost me RM70 plus which will arrived within 2 to 3 days since Crucial reply below;

"Thank you for contacting us. Please write your RMA number on the outside of your package and return the product to Crucial Technology within 10 business days"
[COLOR=blue]

Anyway i decide to choose the most cheapest way,Pos Malaysia Registered which only cost me less than RM10(maybe RM20) without insurance but take 10 to 15 working days..

Budget very tight mah.

Stupid of me,i only posted it on 30 Oct and i was really keeping my finger cross and prayed hard somehow it will arrived fast fast...hahaha

As expected,it have yet to arrive coz on 14 Nov,Crucial send a reminder;

"Thank you for your recent inquiry. According to our records, we have not yet received your return. If you still would like to return the product, please do so within the next 10 business days or your return merchandise authorization (RMA) number will be canceled."

Quickly,i call up Pos Office helpline and the only thing that they can tell me..it is on the USPS side now.

So,i reply immediately to Crucial stating please wait as the RMA is on the way...hehehe

it did finally reach Crucial finally 20Nov
"We're writing to let you know that on November 19, 2008, our RMA lab
received your returned product under RMA #40869412.
Your RMA is now being processed as you requested."

The next day Crucial send my replacement;
"Great news! Your Crucial memory order is packaged and ready to ship by
UPS International P1 Express Saver. To check on the status of your shipment, click on
the link below. You must reference your order number when checking on
the status of your shipment"

SO guys,
it seem in my case i can do Crucial Ballistk myself as u can see how good is the Crucial Customer Service.

i taken a risk by using the cheapest method but as u can see we are still able to receive replacement within a month at RM10 or maybe rm20 only.

But i bet if u willing to pay RM70plus,u can get it with 2 week.

So i say here,paying Shawty RM60 for RMA and still wait for one month plus is totally unacceptable.

I posted here just to let everyone know..that there is still alternative.

Latest Update;
Got my replacement RAM yesterday.
(Delivery within 3 working days)
[COLOR=blue]

Super Fast Service from Crucial Technology USA[COLOR=blue] but THUMB DOWN for our so-call Crucial Reseller on RMA service if they are charging u premium price and the delivery is still more than one month[COLOR=red].

Thanks bro really needed the guide. My Crucial Ballistix Red Edition seems to be having a problem lately. Occasional blue screens here and there and when I ran memtest got an error code stating its my RAM problem. Need to send for RMA when I have time after my exams.

Nope,
we only bear the cost when sending to them.
They only bear the return cost as stated in their email.

"This RMA has been set up as a wait-to-receive, which means we wait to receive the module from you before we send out the replacement. There will be no debits or credits involved with this exchange method. If you would like the cross-ship method, please contact us at (800) 336-8896. If you choose the cross-ship method, we will ship your replacement order if you agree to have the purchase charged to your credit card (if applicable) at the time of shipment. When Crucial receives the returned product, we'll issue you a credit in 7-10 days."[SIZE=7][COLOR=red]

Please include a copy of this email with the contents of the package. Please follow this process so that the product does not receive any damage while being returned. Added on November 23, 2008, 10:02 amsince i using a cheapo method(high risk and long delivering time), i was preparing for the defective ram somehow will get lost in transaction.
if u really wan to get back the ram,using pos laju international might be the safest way but at rm70 plus.

not sure whether Pos Malaysia have insurance for Registered Mail...as i forgot about that.
i didn't bother at that time coz who would wan defective Ram,right?

anyway i am waiting for my ram to arrive
