Also, plugging into your home amplifier might end up destroying it. Plus, you won't get any distortion sounds out of that tongue.gif

Better use RM650 for the guitar, and another RM350 for the Microcube amplifier.

haha...i thought about the distortion...but well..have to sacrifice awhile.... i aim for the guitar 1st...later on, the amplifier... .. 1k is for the guitar budget alone... RM 350 for amp is still manageable...

but is it really can destroy my home amp? my amp is for the big speaker bout 1m height...

If you want to play metal, how can you play it without distortion?
That alone doesn't make sense.

Guitars under 1k usually have god-awful trems. So get a hard-tail or string thru option.
*
meaning anything above 1k...the trem can be trusted?

Again, it depends on the trem. The Ibanez Edge III trem is quite bad, but if you don't abuse it THAT much, it's pretty decent. Again, personal preference.

nope wrong plan. here's a better plan

step1: get a good guitar. as the others, i'd recommend a fixed-bridge ibanez (good resell value)
step2: get a good budget MFX unit like the G1X
step3: use headphone for practice for a while
step4: get a good practice amp once you have the budget (15w recommended)
step5: ?????
step6: PROFIT!!!!!

+1, metal is all abt distortion man,
for me, id say, get a decent practice amp around 100 - 200 w/o fx of cos,
and then get some pretty mean metal distortion pedal to couple with it,
and there u have it instant metal setup, u wont need all those modulation and delay to play metal,
forget mfx, just my 2cent, smile.gif

Metal without distortion? Closest you'll get is Black Sabbath. But they do have overdrive though.

Don't get LTDs (there are NO ESPs that cheap!) below the 1k mark, most of them have terrible quality for the price. And why do you want a distortion pedal so much? Get the Microcube, it already has an onboard modeller for distortion which sounds decent enough. Pair the Microcube with the RG321MH and you cant go wrong. Then set aside the money you wanted to buy a distortion pedal with and save up for a better guitar+amp for the future.
