+1, metal is all abt distortion man,
for me, id say, get a decent practice amp around 100 - 200 w/o fx of cos,
and then get some pretty mean metal distortion pedal to couple with it,
and there u have it instant metal setup, u wont need all those modulation and delay to play metal,
forget mfx, just my 2cent,

metal w/o distortion is black sabbath?
why is that?
i think they still call it british distortion bcos iommi use laney's amp..
