Hi all,
my buddy have an iphone 2G updated to firmware 2.1 recently when he goes into the phone pad, there is no respond on tapping the number pad and after awhile it exits to the main screen (crashed?) The only way he can make a call is via sms or phonebook but can't cancel the call as the phone pad is not responding.
Tried hard and soft resets and doesn't fix the problem. Any idea wats the issue?

can't you just use this template QUOTE iPhone Generation : Current Firmware : iTunes Version : Computer Platform : Jailbreaking software : Problem Encountered : Steps Had Taken (list down) : Problem Screenshot (if any) : Other Info / Remark : and post it on the iphone for dummies thread instead of opening up a new thread?

Hey take a chill pill and whats with the hostility, I wasn't aware there is a dedicated thread on this, nevermind forget it... I'll look for my answer elsewhere. Thanks for pointing it out, full restore is kinda my last resort to solve my buddy's issue just want to know if there is other options available. Guess the thread says it and have to to do a restore then. Unfortunately I have to say some of the people here are nasty or is there a lack of respect going on?

@jay
Well, given that this is a free for all forum, everyone has their ways of expressing themselve thru words. Some are totally outrageously rude as some do use foul languages too but some are pleasant and helpful.
C_w_sam was just pointing out that there's a template made for forumers to post in regards to iphone problems and we know that by posting without the templates, we reckon some did not read the pinned threads. So no worries.
Don't take to heart mate.
Cheers

Walk on the walkway instead ... and slapped me a form to fill up"? k kidding on the form part, but you get my drift. Surely you'll be shocked like somewat you've commited a crime or somting This post has been edited by jaychow: Nov 18 2008, 12:13 PM

QUOTE(TeK_KeN @ Nov 18 2008, 12:15 PM) @jaychow just closed your thread bro. Next good question, how do I close thread, I've never done once before despite been so long on this forum LoL Added on November 18, 2008, 12:27 pmQUOTE(nokia2003 @ Nov 18 2008, 12:17 PM) yup. as i have always preached, unless you wanna pay for a VIP alike treatment with a broad smile, one has to compile with some "unpleasant" substances. anyway, just close the thread. I wish there is proper paid iphone support unfortunately thats not the case so have to look for alternative, technically I am still new to iphone being a tech person myself but you don't have to nasty to people if they do have legitimate issues and ask respectfully.
