Mannnnn....!! Just like what I said about you in my PM!! Do u mean spelunking? Or you ARE talking about scuba into 1 of those dark eerie caves?? ... with AOW, i've Deep dived, Night dived, Drift dived, dived thru underwater Boulders .... but not CAVERN!! Sweetie, you need to get your AOW 1st, then continue with PADI's Cavern Diver Speciality course B4 you can even think of squeezing yourself into 1 ....

not up to spelunking yet, but i've toured Mulu's cave system... its spectacular!! ... go do that b4 your Cavern (if you've not done so)

Ya, thought of reducing 1 night as the possibility of a bad weather postponement is very slim. They told me the jumps are 99% according to schedule... You may want to add some days for yours shopping.... Lets look at the date 7-10Jan2011 and keep an eye on AA promotion from now on. Once good deal, lets jst grab it.... the jumps are easily arranged from then onwards.

Thanks janszmatt for the recommendation. I think Oxbold is cool for lots of extreme sports but they are either not updating their website or not sure on the jump schedule. Coz their site says Tandem Skydive is NOT available at this point of time. Even if there is, their jump is only at 10,000ft which limits the FF time frm 60seconds down to 40seconds. FF is the idea of the WHOLE skydiving thingy, not the parachute part which had to be yanked at 5,000ft

I've also researched that many a times, the jump schedule in Segamat DZ is being called off due to weather condition. So the weekend drive down may not guarantee a jump. Thaiskyadventures boast a 99% jump on schedule and they have been jumping at Sriracha DZ for the past 8 years!

Added on September 15, 2010, 9:54 amOh, jst realized the price you quoted is for Static Line jump instead of Tandem. SL jump is jst the parachute part & only being jumped at below 5,000ft (probably 4,000ft for 1st time jumpers). The moment the jumper leap frm the aircraft at 4,000ft, the parachute is automatically yanked and its jst parachuting the whole time... no FF at all..... sorry mate, i really dont consider that as skydiving ;-)

Hi there! I am interested the Tandem Jump you guys are organizing. How many jumps within that 4-5 days?

Bro, trip is on 7-10Jan2011. There will be 1 jump on the 8thJan. Each jump will cost around THB8500-9000 . So depends on how deep your pocket is, then you let me know how many jumps you wanna take up... We will have to finalize the jump soon. Waiting for AA for some good fares to BKK.... jst keep an eye... I will have to round up some deposits for the jump and accomodation, probably by Oct2010.. This is to secure the booking with them and to avoid any cancellation....

Latest update, I might be able to get a PADI instructor to jump with us. So for those who wanna Skydive and later stay on to get yourself PADI OW certified, do let me know....

Hmm... Sounds interesting. I just read through the entire thread and you estimated RM1500 for everything inclusive of 1 jump. Could you sign me up on this for 2 pax?

And bro, u & your partner will be our 10th jumper!! That means our group will be getting the LOWEST group fees!! Thats THB7,500 (savings of THB2,450!!)

As for AA flight to BKK, Lets all keep each other in contact when there are low fares promo. At the moment, its RM408 for LCCT-BKK (AK742 / FD3575)... I'll prefer each group leader (as below) to book your own flights. That will save me the hassle on $$ collection issue...

Why don' ask the Airforce. they got C-130 and CN-235. Maybe they're willing to organized a jump for a reasonable fee. they even got the instructor and the equipment too.
