Fellow lyn ski divers, when did you guys go Thai Sky Adventures?

I was about to go take the full course last year until I saw the comments on TripAdvisor.com.

What do you guys think?

See this link.

It's all full of Fake n empty promises, unreliable. On the web site it create false sense of marketing + direction, very mis-leading. Overall, web site with mis-leading info+picture.
Shut down the web site to prevent further innocent people from TT payment.

I had booked a sky dive and a bungy jump. Not only did they cancel it, but they never paid me back. It has been more than three months, and I am still waiting for my money. Now they don t answer my mails and I am gonna have to contact a lawyer...So, there numerous other companies in Pattaya, I would recommend you to try another one...

Their website said starting 20-Jan. So i booked a jump for 22-Jan.
A week before the scheduled jump, I was made aware that the start date has been postponed to Feb end.

My main motive to travel to Thailand was the sky dive and I couldnt cancell any of the other plans as all other things were booked already.

Sky diving is still a dream.
Refund of the deposit yet to be received.

This used to be an excellent dropzone, but there were always some company politics lurking beneath the surface waiting to show their ugly face and ruin the fun for the masses. Well now thanks to some greedy idiots in high positions within the company that has finally happened. Its no wonder why all the old staff that made this a wonderful community, have quit and gone elsewhere. All the positive reviews received in the past are a direct result of the competent, enthusiastic and friendly staff that USED to run the company on a day to day basis, but sadly they are nearly all gone now due to constant stress over being ripped off by the owners, and I doubt will ever come back, not unless there is some serious change/ restructuring within the company.

In short, do not make a booking here, there are other places to jump in Thailand, namely Udon. I know the plane isn't as good and its out of the way, but you certainly won't have your deposit stolen, or be given a load of empty promises about a re-opening date.

Any company that deletes negative customer reviews from their facebook page is a seriously shady company, If customers are complaining its obvious something is wrong, If these negative comments are deleted and empty promises of new opening dates are posted, it can only spell one thing --> They want as much of your deposit money to run off with before they finally go belly up when their operating license gets refused.

Save yourself the headache, don't bother.

wow, didnt knw suddenly this thread became alive after I've left it since 31Aug. Until leonard PM me that I came to have a look. If u guys go thru the thread, I've done quite a lot of arrangement. THis was my jump with thaiskyadventures in Jan2011
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms24T0RIOiM

They were superb during my jump.

Sad to say, recently thaiskyadventures had been victims of partnership scandals & their jump plane Pilatus Porter could have been sabotaged. Hence, dont skydive with them anymore

There used to be a company operating skydive from the Drop Zone in Segamat Johor, but they had the habit of postponing the jumps, therefore i think they've wrapped up now due to their own actions. Anyways, what they offered was static line jump which basically meant "parachuting" and not skydive.

Advice? ...... go to Queenstown, NZ !! ... that will be my next jump

Tandem dive isn't that scary. IMO, bungee jump is much more scarier than tandem dive. It's like you have someone behind you who is a professional so the fear is almost gone. That's probably just me since I'm not very afraid of heights. tongue.gif

My next skydive will be in NZ too. Not sure when yet though. laugh.gif
Have checked out some of the prices when I was there last July. Isn't that much expensive for the jump (compared to Thailand), but the travelling expenses will be quite a lot.

I haven't planned a date yet. I don't think I'll be jumping anytime soon, now still short on cash. tongue.gif
But I think Nemoexcel may be planning to go soon.

As for average cost, since AA don't fly to NZ anymore, airfare is gonna cost quite a lot. Probably have to set aside RM2000 for airfare, return. Accommodation is also going to be quite costly and it won't be worth it to spend so much just to go there for few days and do the jump. If I were to go, I'll be going for holiday and sightseeing (and probably stay there for another few weeks to visit my family). So for me, I actually need quite a big budget to go.

Hello guys,
Never knew that this thread existed, and been so long back. Just realize that I am so outdated! Anyway, please count me in if there is anyone going for skydive and welcome others to join.
