Wow! Seems like super cheap! smile.gif
*
Err..mine is Queen size where can get around RM4K outside.
But it still worth it... smile.gif

Bad news when buying warehouse sales
1) No warranty
2) Need to carefully check for any defects on site.
3) No way to really test the mattress firmness. You need to know about the mattress first then only buy there.
4) Delivery need queue first come first serve. Mine is after Chinese New Year..sighh cry.gif

it is dirt cheap because :-

1) some are defect units

2) some are roadshow display units

3) some are customer complain returned units

4) some are dirty units

5) no warranty
*
Aren't it illegal to sell a defects or returned units.? hmm.gif

QUOTE(zzzhhhzzz @ Jan 16 2016, 06:53 PM)
Are they allowed to sell defect and returned units ?
*
I also want to know bout that. Is it even legal to do that.?

QUOTE(zzzhhhzzz @ Jan 16 2016, 06:57 PM)
When you check the mattress did you find any defect ?
*
Not that i see any so far. But bear in mind that all the mattress encased by plastic cover. And some of the plastic cover seem quite dirty with dust. But the sales assistant did claimed that all the mattress are brand new.!

Only when the mattress actually arrive then i'll know whether i actually got a good deal...or bad deal in buying a warehouse mattress sale.

it is at clearance price, why would it be illegal / not allowed to sell defect unit?
*
It's hard to believe a reputable mattress manufacturer/company are doing that. I tend to believe they can give such a low dirt price because they produce and sell their own mattresses themselves.

Bypassing the retailers and sellers where mostly taking a profit margin by 30 - 60% can give such a huge discount to consumers when they sell the mattress themselves during warehouse sales. hmm.gif

dunlopillo Warehouse clearance sales run by MFO and dunlopillo Malaysia is different.

One is tactic , one is solution
*
I avoid retailers that give clearance sales on monthly basis like MFO. The one that on sale now is run by Dunloppilo itself and not by any retailers.

QUOTE(jackbanner @ Jan 17 2016, 08:34 AM)
Yes of course. They are not selling it as new. They are selling it as clearance and they declare that (returned goods) it to the potential buyers. Willing buyer willing seller.
*
The sales assistant claimed all mattress are brand new. Don't know whether it's true or not. But all the staff that handle the sales that day are from Dunlopillo HQ.

They wont bypass retailers and sellers in such way or they will be losing their business.
*
With their receipt clearly stated Dunlopillo HQ address..i believe the sale was handle by themselves and not by retailers.
Most probably to clear old stocks hence got dusty plastic cover.

There are both new and display, the sales will tell you.... both the same price. Early bird gets the worm. I was told Nottingham Luxe went for RM2xxx, that's one of my most wanted mattress  cry.gif
*
Wait till the next warehouse clearance sales. Then come real early on the first day. Shouldn"t be any problem to get Nottingham Luxe. smile.gif

When I'm there..i saw 2 units of Nottingham available but both King size and I"m looking for Queen one.

Bring old mattress and camp there overnight. Then you'll be first in the queue and go home with your tilam baru

No need overnight. Just come early in the morning on the first day. Not many people like buying warehouse mattress.

side question, planning to change mattress, but how do you get rid of the old one?
*
Normally when they send the new mattress you can ask them to take away your old mattress. Sometimes they will charge you around 80-100 for that takeaway service.

Hey guys. I want to buy bed king size. Like hotel bed, soft n comfortable, any suggestions guys ??
*
Don't get fooled or cheated by anyone who say this or that mattress is the best for you..! Everybody have different weight, body structure, height or their own way of sleeping. So their most comfortable mattress might not be comfortable to you.

Go to mattress shop and take your time to test the bed yourself. Lay on the mattress the way you usually sleep. The most comfortable mattress you find is more likely will be the most suitable mattress for you.

One more thing..you can always make a firmner mattess softer by adding mattress topper/pads but you cannot make a soft mattress firm.

At all Serta gallery on last weekend. The tagline says "Offer us price that we can't resist".... meaning u tell them how much u're willing to pay to help them clear the stock.

Not sure if it's just marketing gimmick
*
Most probably all cheap cheap price we offer they will resist. brows.gif

Did anyone visit the Dunlop warehouse mattress sale at MFO in subang? Saw the add in the papers for 3 weeks already and wandering if its truly worth it? I know the brand is kind of an icon in malaysia
*
If MFO then forget bout it. They do warehouse sale on monthly basis if not weekly. It's their marketing strategy.

Wait for real Dunlupillo warehouse yearly clearing sale that was done by Dunlipillo themself. Normally done at certain Dewan Sivik either Dec or Jan.
