If you are using spring mattress initially, then that's one of the issues, and now that you're also having sleep issues of the foam mattress, is definitely due to something else.

This is my suggestion.. Just try it.

Turn OFF all electrical equipment and devices in the bedroom. Put your phone on Airplane mode if you use it as Alarm. Otherwise switching off completely. Do not charge phone in the bedroom. Do not watch TV, or video an hour before sleep ...!

Turn off your WIFI when going to sleep.

Do you live near an electrical high tension wire ( carrying electricity), or near a Power station? Or have Telco towers facing you?

This is part of my profession, and you exhibit most of the symptoms my clients have when they can't sleep. And it's not usually the case of the mattress, but the Electromagnetism in their homes.

Yes, many people overlook this issue. Thanks for highlighting here.

Do either of you use phone or computers frequently throughout the day?

Your bodies get too charged up with stored up energies. Depending on what you eat, if you have high metal toxicity, it will react with your sleep patterns.

Other than my suggestion above, it also depends if you live in house or apartment. If apartment, what is directly below you. If house, need to find out what is under the house..eg underground well water transmit electrical energies through ground and floor.

I can only guess as I can't see where you are.. Which is why I ask this.

Can you both get a good night's sleep if you slept elsewhere.. eg hotel, or a different part of town?

Better than what you can find on Shoppee. At least you can touch and feel them. Many brands. Go check.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a new mattress for my new home.

1. I honestly think I can sleep on whatever mattress under me. Pillows are more important, for me anyways I think. I sleep within 5 mins of hitting the bed. Whether it's good sleep or not I don't know, but even though my body can tell vaguely some beds are more comfortable than others, I almost invariably fall asleep within a few minutes.

2. That said, my wife has trouble sleeping and getting a good night's sleep. She also does not think it's due to the mattress, but who knows. So I'm thinking of getting a good mattress, if possible, for my new home.

3. Here are my criteria:
- Budget around MYR 2,000 to 4,000.
- King size
- I sometime turn during sleep, and that can affect my light sleeper wife...so a mattress that transfers as little movement from side to side is preferred (does this limit my selection to latex/foam?)
- Firmness...this is hard to describe in word as it's obviously relative, but we prefer something on the semi-firm side. Usually when I go to a shop and say we want firm, 50% of the time the first bed that is recommended to us is slightly too firm, and the other 50% of the beds are just about just nice.

4. I was at the mid valley home expo today and tried a few beds. A few that we thought were comfortable were:
- King Koil Simplicity Harmony Support (chirotech coil system...whatever that means?)
- Geetha Intercontinental 228
- Napure New Barbara

5. I was also looking at the Sonno/Joey mattresses, due to their 99-day return and refund policy. But I'm not sure how they stack up against more established brands.

6. And finally, I'll be using a wooden bed frame, with a slatted based. I've read that many mattresses are not suitable for such bed frames. I intend to place a piece of flat plywood on it so that the surface is even and flat. Will that do the trick?

What are your advice and recommendations?

Thanks.

I went to mv yesterday too. I'm considering to get the one from natura. It's made of memory form and less disturbance to the partner. You may have a look! Just try on it and get the one you feel the most comfortable to sleep on.

I went to the Mid Valley Home Expo today and dropped by the King Koil's booth. They recommended the Beverly Suites series for 3.8k including the bed frame.

They told me they are the only one selling this model as it is new and is show room model. I tried searching online for the model but to no avail as I wanted to check if it is a good deal.

I did test the mattress and it seems to be medium firm. It felt quite comfortable and very much to my liking. My only concern is that since nobody else in the market seems to be selling this model, I don't know if I am getting a good deal.

Any advice?

Hi, need some advice for getting a right mattresses for my wife.
She having lower back sore pain, sometime it can last for whole days or two.
When to doc and he advice to put a thin pillow back while sleep, while doing that will look for a right mattress as well. Currently using IKEA Medium hard form mattress.

If budget is not an issue, what type/brand/model should get? Thanks.

Sore pain location (RED).
