Hi guys I need your input please.

Recently I bought a new house, expected VP 3 years later. This morning I went to a furniture exhibition and I kinda like the feel of some King Koil mid/high-end mattresses. Price ranges from $3k-5k thought for King size.

Question is, the salesman recommended me to pay deposit now and they can reserve the mattress for me for 4 years. He recommends me to buy now as the price of mattresses keep increasing every year. He even show me the price list for last year and shockingly the price has increased over RM1k in one year.

Should I proceed with the deposit? Or this is another sales tactic that I almost fell for?

4 years?? if price increase every year....do u think they will sell u the same mattress same price after 4 years? or they keep the stock for 4 years?? dont think it really work. 1 year i think maybe ok la but 4 years.....unless u buy now and keep in ur house till ur new house complete...hehe

i dont suggest u book your mattress now if u getting your house in next 3 years time. mattress usually raise up price 2-3 years once. so dont have to rush just wait till get your house only make booking smile.gif cheers

Guys I have Vono Ergobed 1200.

i feel like my body is 'sinking' and some surface is uneven.

What is the problem. The top pillow or the spring?

The i found this in Vono website:

"A new bed is like a pair of new shoes, There is a “setting-in” period while you get used to each other. At first it may feel very firm compared to your old bed. Your body may take several days to adjust to the sleeping posture that you get with Vono Intalok Springing System. This is normal as Intalok Springing System is working to support your body in the most comfortable, healthy and anatomical way. You will get a deeper, sounder sleep. "

I just bought one, I liked it. Didn't opt for the buy 1 free 1 instead took the 30% discount. I've test sleep on many beds last sunday from 4pm to 8pm.
It may suit me but may not suit you. I suggest u go there and sleep on it, and the SA welcomes you to do so.

Added on December 2, 2012, 12:28 amHave you tried IKEA?
By the way, IKEA also got some good mattress and do you know you can return their mattress in 100 days if you don't like it? It's written in their warranty brochure, but warning: IKEA's mattresses are longer by 10cm.

I am thinking to get Ikea mattresses too, with Ikea bed. Appreciate feedback from current owners smile.gif

Hi guys,

First of all, thanks for sharing all your experiences. Good or bad. I learnt something here.

I'm looking to purchase a new mattress as well. Have surveyed and tested a lot of brands eg. Serta, Napure, Englander, SilentNight, Sealy, Slumberland and so forth. Spoke to quite many sales consultants and have narrow down the properties I'm looking for in a bed:-

- King size
- Full latex (prefer without springs, I like the idea of zero motion transfer, dust mite resistant, no need to turn the bed and etc.)
- Medium firm but comfortable with "plush feel" eg. pillow top
- Divan (looks and feels like hotel ;-) )

If you have something for me, feel free to leave me a PM. Genuine buyer in the buying cycle with moderate budget :-)
