I saw some people doing this, but I yet to see its effectiveness. I'll buy more trade ships as soon as I can afford it, keeps my gold stock low. Add it with lv2 ports, no one wants to pillage me.

gosh~!!  I dont think that T-A could remain on the top 10 list with their current situation atm. Btw,in ikariam there is no game over...... Our buildings remain in place, our infrastructure intact, and the only thing we ever truly lose are troops and some resources.....as long as we got low level trading port. |

I still have plenty sitting in my warehouses even after ordering some 80 SGs and PWRs. I got lv2 ports on all my towns and less than 150k in gold reserves.bout my question b4,are those thing will be implement in V3? The only thing confirmed in the new buildings so far I afraid. |

Noble Pink just officially join Sekai Taisen [SekTa]. Troops replacement process is going quite smoothly although I ran out of Woods rather quickly when I keep spamming out the Steam Giants and Paddle-Wheel Rams.

Today you'll see what changes in the military part of the game. Costs for troop formation and ship construction have been reduced, upkeep is way less than what it used to be. The military advisor has also been redesigned. The most significat change will be in raiding and attacking. There will no longer be gold looting. The amount of looted resources will not depend on the harbour size of the attacked city, but on the amount of trading ships sent with the attack. And upgrade your hide out, no one will attack you base on your gold next time, so you better up your hide out to avoid people spy on your warehouse. Then up your trading port as much as you can, transfer out resource once your notice some one with strong military point come for you. |

lol....this is a misunderstood pal due to your miss communication with other officers in EXA .
I solved this matter ages ago with dwayne,when you'r busy with AIA-MSP matter.......=) Nevertheless,we may need your consultancy regarding to diplomacy issue in the future if we face one. We'r fine atm.....thank you for your concern. Btw,im pretty disappointed with a member from MSP that bring me an offer of merging and pointed us as a"small" alliance in term of our members quantity. I was thinking a lot about setting up my 5th town. I'm pretty sure I'll need another source of wine, this resource is too important to leave it to trading/ pillaging. But I don't know if I should put it on the same island as my another wine town, or plant it on another island slightly further away. PanDAzz marble colonies already have my marble needs covered. Lately I could not send any circulars anymore. It has been for more than a month. I've contacted my Diplomat and Leader about this and both wouldn't even reply to me. They've sent circulars wondering why it has been so quiet.

I don't like demolishing existing buildings for the new ones, so I only have about 3 spots per town for Forester's House, resource enhancer buildings, and a 2nd warehouse.
My town populations is quite low now since I keep cranking out more army, since I can lose quite a lot if my towns are breached. |

I'd rate carpentry, architect's office and wine cellar on top of my list for now. Resource saving building will keep you from building another warehouse for awhile.

If you look at this mechanic properly...as pure defensive units....A+D/U is HIGHER for the PHALANX... For versatility...it must be recognized that Steam Giants are still the best OFFENSIVE damage sponge. Use equivalent phalanx...without the resistance bonus...the picture is much different. Believe it or not, DEFENSE/upkeep still favors the phalanx...but the margin is very much reduced. So the offense per upkeep has more play on the attack. The fully upgraded Steam Giant is 45% more efficient on attacks, and only 8.77% less efficient with a level 30 wall. So for versatility, the Steam Giant is the clear winner for Attack and Defense.. Bombardiers provide a relatively decent return on attack defense...it is plausible to build these as your primary assault force for use against small armies...if stamina effects begin to work as explained, and larger unit forces (the whole appx 50+ thing) works as well...it may be more beneficial to go with large amounts of Gunmen. For lower level players that will have to be more defensive...I would recommend 100s of phalanx and gunmen. For higher level players looking to be offensive as much as defensive...balanced attacks with SGs and Bombardiers will still be the way to go. NAVAL QUOTE This is a little more complicated. There is definately an advantage here to using Mortar Ships as a primary defense. This advantage is clear, and to the best of my knowledge cannot really be disputed in terms of upkeep, bonus, or defensive power. This is because a DEFENDING Mortar Ship gets 202.8 defense at an upkeep cost of 50 (or 4.056 defense/upkeep). They also have the highest stamina available for a Naval Craft (6). These units are very slow and are best left in port. For offense, the fastest legit vessel would be the Paddle-Wheel Ram which receives a 159.9 attack while attacking (4.845 offense/upkeep) returning a maximum of 37 defense each though while attacking. (1.121 defense/upkeep) this is the highest attack power of any vessel per upkeep cost...but it lacks in defense capability to withstand the counter-assault. The other drawback is, at home it has a MUCH lower attack power. Therefore the solution is the better balanced yet higher upkeep and slower craft in my opinion...the Diving Boat. The 205 attack power that it holds is the same on attack or defense...because it has no bonus affiliated. Which means it has 4.1 offense/upkeep while attacking OR defending, whereas the PWR only has 3.727 while defending. The difference comes in the defensive power. The Diving Boat receives a maxed 1.6 defense/upkeep vs. the PWRs 1.121. Truthfully...if you want to add total stats, this means while ON offense, the PWR has the clear advantage, but when in port, the Diving Boat is going to provide the Attack Power that you need to win at home....making that unit a better all-around investment under the new system. Overall Analysis: Large numbers of Phalanx and Gunsmen for Army at low levels, Bombardiers and SGs still at higher levels Large numbers of Diving Boats and Mortar Ships for Navy at HIGH levels... for low levels... (NONE!) Still a good idea to place a few ships in port to prevent crap shots...but use your upkeep where the wall has effect. Build more phalanx. The higher level the wall, the more the game favors your large numbers of phalanx...consider with no soft-caps in place a level 40 town wall and that same 4000 upkeep group of 500 phalanx...attack points would be distributed randomly over 500 units...and 117,000 defense power is a huge range for the attack to be distributed against. |

sulfur town ? well , if he blocked your town, you can move your troops to my town by defending my sulfur towns. When he blocking, you able to move your troops within the town and even cargo. Too bad my sulfur town is damn new and out of storage to help you protect your goodies.

Yeah Copa. I know that. Can tell the details from your side? Because one member got attacked by MAC member before and still harbored this grudge. He sent a spy recently and it got caught. We are currently very busy with war with PAX (almost dead) and couldn't concentrate on anything else. I hope we try to resolve this soon.

Example: Lord Zeus being attack again and again by Kamen..later on Lord Zeus join Kamen alliance..so kamen can't attack Lord Zeus anymore |

Nvm lah. My resources there usually always ngam ngam punya to upgrade things. If he mau spend more gold to get stuff that doesn't compensate him in the positive spectrum I tidak kisah.

The game is not fun anymore. Not fun fighting when its always when I'm at work or sleeping. In reality a city always has people taking turns watching over. If I sleep, the whole place sleeps! I hope in the future Ikariam would come up with better co-op mode.
By the way, I have decided to quit. I'll be off the list in 6 more days. Good luck with Ikariam guys! |

I sent 10+ spies to a town and it only translate into only 1 breach every time, so I don't bother sending spies anymore except for espionage missions. Kappa is the most peaceful of all the servers. I've mentioned already I've sent more than 10 spies to a town, but from the combat reports it shows only one door unlocked and it's only for the first round. Ram units however are sometimes identified as spies in the CRs.

guys, need advise..
my gold always on low and made my army to disband... i have 4 colonies and the upkeep is high... i need to always sell my resources to get the gold coming but some times specially during weekends, nobody buys it... tonite, my army disbanded again... sigh... luckily after a war has ended... all citizen works has stopped until i get some gold... then need to rebuild the army again... sigh... |

 I envy those people from MY......their server is full with wars all over the place. Is MY is better in player population compared to kappa? I feel like kappa is well-populated as we do have the least war in here...... |
