Now we have 5x TP with MBB Visa Petronas confirmed.

How about 10% and 5% cash rebate at Carrefour with MBB credit card?

I saw most cc, the minimum annual salary is RM30k. If I only earn RM1.5k per month (annual salary is RM18k), means I have no chance to apply ?
*
Can qualify for classic. RM 30k per annum is generally for gold card.

Sorry, does 'retail purchase' includes

- petrol pumps swiping
- paying bills like telco/water/electric

?
*
Yes. Almost everything you charge to your card espect balance transfer, cash advance and installment plan.

Aha ... tinkerbel. You are back ? We were wondering where have you gone to ?

David83, I suspect this call to come from those fishy operators who just wants to scam you out of your CC information. Banks will never call you from a mobile phone, most likely from a fixed line number. I suspect a scam. BTW ... what's the full story anyway ?
*
He spoke in BM and he asked my mailing address so that he could ship the card to me.

I ended the call fast by stating that I has no interest on the topic. biggrin.gif

As far as I know, there's no such conversion from Maybank. Ezy Pay is only applicable when the merchant is offering 0% installament programme.

Apart from that, I doublt MBB CS is recording every single conversation as other companies with a pre-recorded notice like "Your call is recorded for quality and training purposes bla bla".

Write an official letter. Fax or mail it to the Maybank Card Centre.

Making a complaint is one thing but I doubt so anything is going to happen as to begin with there's no such product from MBB. Unfortunately rockstar teddy would need to sit the problem out. Personally I don't trust CS much unless I am able to
cross check the info on the bank's website.

Added on January 14, 2009, 11:12 pm

Not really back then ... I applied mine through the form which was attached in the statement which I obtained from them. Filled it in and mailed it over. The next few weeks, got the PIN in my mailbox. I know they are not that efficient but what I'm saying, it might not be the only method.
*
Info on bank's website is more solid but somehow, certain info may be obsolete.

Good news for people who took advantage of the MBB Carrefour cash rebate last year:

There's no "best card" coz every person taste and requirements are different...
Anyway.....Im now thinking.

My main card is Maybankard coz i got savings account for easy repayment...
And i have another UOB One card for Petrol and occasionally GSC or Carrefour (if above RM100 to get the cashback else Maybankard for normal points)

Now, should i get the Maybank Petronas card and pump Petronas for 2x points? Or i should keep my current way?

Added on January 17, 2009, 2:15 am

ROLFMAO...

Errr that will be RM2.50/month rebate?
And bear in mind, NO TREATSPOINTS will be awarded during the promotion month
LOLz Maybank is earning much more this way than conventional points system
I love fine prints
*
If you use Maybank Petronas and pump petrol at Petronas, you'll be rewarded 5x TP not 2x TP for each RM 1 spent.

As for the Carrefour cash rebate, we're aware of the fine printprint. From my understanding, the max monthly cash rebate will be RM 50 per card but it doesn't really matter since it ends by 1st February 2009.

does DA and RHB still offer petrol rebates? seemed to have been removed from the websites....

IMO citibank-shell kinda sucks, you have to keep some debt on card to get the small rebates, interest also more than the rebates i think...
*
For Citibank-Shell, you'll get smaller rebate if you don't have outstanding balance.

Try Maybank Petronas, even though it's not cash rebate but it awards 5x TP! Have been using for more than 6 months and still great!
