hello fellow WDTV owners, may I know whether you set the audio to "stereo" or "Digital"? My unit is connected via HDMI to receiver, and HDMI fr receiver to TV. If set to stereo, will it automatically detect, for eg. DTS? I've set mine to digital.

QUOTE(mikapoh @ Jun 15 2009, 11:19 PM) Assuming that your AVR can decodes DTS format, it should always set to Digital. Stereo is only for 2 channels and surprised why you cant differentiate the two. I thought you are hunting for an AVR, arent you? Maybe you have found one! In retrospect a redundant question now, but it was set on stereo, but it went automatically to dts when it was hooked up via optical to HTiB. Anyway it's set to "digital" now, so I see all kinds of format on the receiver screen now. And yes, got myself the Marantz SR6003!

QUOTE(TuX @ Jun 28 2009, 09:37 PM) What AVR do you recommend to go with 42S10K and WDTV without a home theater system? My two cents: I don't think you will "value-add" by buying an AVR without at least a 5.1 speaker system. If you just want to get stereo audio, then you may want to consider just converting DTS to AC3, so you can just use your plasma for both video and audio. Otherwise you can just start with a HTiB system that has a AVR that will drive other speakers. Hope someone else will be able to explain better. hi all,
Just wondering if other WDTV owners have "pixelation" issues with 1080p files bigger than 10G. I had 1080p Transformers 1 (over 13G), and pixelation was real bad, so I got the 720p version, which played fine.
Now am about to get hold of "South Pacific" (more than 11Gb, 1080p), but hesitating. Thought I'd come in here and ask around. Thanks in advance!
