Hello,

Anyone paying or signing up for download premium account to get those huge HD file size??
*
I believe so coz Streamyx sucks, throttling the bandwidth of P2P.

I cant wait to flash the new firmware after so many good feedbacks from you guys.

QUOTE(DigitalTech @ Apr 8 2009, 10:29 AM)
HDMI version is one thing.

HDMI carries both video and audio in 1 cable.

You need a high speed and high bandwidth HDMI cable to experience a smooth HD experience on your LCD/Plasma and 7.1 surround sound at the same time. All this in 1 HDMI cable.

So, if you get a al-cheapo HDMI cable, even it states v1.3, you will not achieve the above fully.
*
That's rite, version 1.3 carries more interface support than 1.1

To be safe, try to buy version1.3 because 1.1is outdated and not future proof.

369 is without hdmi cable, yours got cable perhaps?
*
RM369 is very cheap for this wonderful player. I just got another RMVB player from All IT, really sucks. cannot even play 720p RMVB files.

WDTV Rocks! but no RMVB doh.gif

Owh? Is it suppose we can choose? mine already cant choose from the beginning, never bother about i, thot it is detecting my TV automatically because second unit I bought also the same, and it is set to PAL.
*
Mine also PAL earlier, but no suddenly changed to NTSC.

My WD TV has hanged problem after I try to select the chapters in quantum of solace 1080p. Then I do a system reset and back to normal after flashing .06 firmware.

When I play a few of my mkv there's a DIGITAL word just after the starting, then it will have no sound. I guess it is because of the audio in DTS I think. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is there any way to rectify that?
*
Yes, it is DTS sound format. You need a decoder to decode it via Toslink or HDMI.

now i need a feature request for my WDTV.

the ability to turn off sound transfer over HDMI as I am using HDMI for Video only while TOSLINK for all sound transfered to AVR.

The annoying part now is, its its decode-able format, I will have to mute my TV in order just to enjoy only the sound from the AVR instead of the TV.

The WDTV even thou remotely switch off (not switch off the plug), when plug-in the hdd, you can see the read/write LED will blinking. Look like WDTV still read the hdd even in off mode. I test with a few hdd, same results.

Here what I do:
I put WDTV in off mode, then I plug my 250GB Hitachi drive, the LED blinking non stop. When I switch on the WD, I can see a message on TV saying I need xxxMB free space for media library. That mean, in off mode, WDTV still work, just the video and audio output is off.
*
I noticed that when WDTV is power off via remote control, it is still keeping the memory of the movie we have played earlier. It can still resume the movies that we watched halfway after power off the unit using remote control.

Bought WD TV few weeks back. Updated to the latest firmware 1.02.07.
I am having difficulty to resume my movie every time after I power off it sad.gif.

I couldn't perform Search using time input, or maybe I don't know.

Anyone kind to share how to resume movie without using the FF function?

TQ
*
Did you switch off the power point or by remote control switch off?

These 2 has difference. Only by remote control switch off, you can resume the movies.

I power off the WD TV with remote control followed by switching off the wall plug power.

WD should really consider giving bookmark or time search features..
*
You can experiment by not switching off the wall plug power. See the difference yourself.
