ya i tried but dunno y when they eat, they wan to eat same bowl =.= i saperate them also dont wan. like to fight for 1 bowl only.

recently i got my scrappy coco a mate.
turns out scrappy coco is a male! start humping the new GP all the time. and now i dont even know the new GP's sex. at pet store the salesman said its  a male. but why coco humping it all the time? Got homo guinea pig eh?

Thanks... ! Im from sarawak, and some shop i see sell the brownish colour hay..so maybe thats why my GP hate it. Its like a dry grass. I saw this online pet shop-> www.chubbypetsgarden.com .. Saw the hay with -Kaytee- brand. hope it is fresh. will order it soon.I'll try to search for Hagen. Frankly the pet shop here sold pretty lousy food for GP (GP is very rare and hard to find here).

I found that my guinea pig starting to bite the cage metal...why huh? wanna exercise the teeth ar?how to stop them bite the metal cage and bite something else like carrots or wood?

Erm.. Lets say this way

1.First GP that i adopted is local GP (my friend gave to me). Live bout a year plus, but died of diarhea (which i didnt aware of it)
2. Next, Lisa. My first time buying GP. man, she was so sick at that time! now 2 years and half with me already. (thanks for helping me find her breed . kinda cool for me to have Aby..hehe)
3. Next, 2 local GP , still small bout 1-2 months? Both died in two days-i dont know why! i kept it secure in the house but i guess because the previous shop did not take care of them properly ( i saw the shop owner grab forcely and simply throw the GP in the cage  ).
4. Bought another local GP, with lices  . again i only notice the lice after i bring her home. bad bad pet shop! Chap-chap (Female) died of diarhea last month. No symptom and suddenly saw she laying there with the wet tail.
5. Last GP, the aby breed, he look very frail when i bring him home. He was in good care, getting fat but still shy with chap-chap and Lisa. He too, died last month without any reason. I examine him but there's no diarhea. can anyone suggest possible cause?

and everytime my GP died, i cried whole night. Right now i kinda resistant to adopt new GP cos i hate crying  . If Lisa leaves me too, i'll surely devastated. But thanks God, she gave birth and makes me extremely happy! 

btw, wad cause diarhea owh?

Anyways to tell if your GP got Diarrhea, you will see watery poo. And also the fur will puff out (not normal) and their poo will smell really2 bad. Possible causes of diarrhea are bacterial infection, eating spoiled/moldy hay or vegetables.

is it possible to put two or more different breeds of GP in same cage?

is it normal for gp to run here and there..i mean like really fast...coz nubbyz is like that...he popcorns alot and run here and ther on my bed i'm just wondering is that normal behavior?

i found huahua didn't drink water these 2 days,
and she breathe very fast, looks like asthma,anyone know whats going on?

how is the poo actually looked like when gp is having diarhea..
my gps poo kinda soft.. like chocolate powder.. not as solid and greenish dark like normal poo.. is tat diarhea?? inform me..

Lots of member already giving advice for you on how to recongnise diarrea. I would like to add 1 more thing, that is feed hay. IS A MUST. Timothy hay. By feed that, you will maintain a stable digestive system of your GP. Quickly go to your near by pet shop and grap a bag of fresh green hay.

I never mix my GP right away. Wad i do is i isolate the new one, and make sure he gets healthy first.  I called it quarantine time  . Before i introduce them, i bond myself with the new one first.   Then i introduce them by putting them together for one hour at least in 1 day, next day 2 hour, and more and more until they stay in 1 cage together. I had an experience where two of my GP cant live together.   I separate them with a mesh wire, and at least they 'talk' and see each other although no contacts.

Yes u mention numerous brand. If you understand my situation also, im in sarawak, there's no BRANDED FOOD pellet for GP. The petshop only sell the BENGY, JOLLY, BUNNY and no brand pellet. TO order the brand pallet that all of you had mentioned, it took 20 days and above.

And i did mention, Lisa's poo a bit soft but still in shape. I just concern bout her 100% vege for diet.Im trying to get pellets, and yesterday i bought Jolly brand. She doesnt like it much, and in fact she never finish it until this morning also.

Thanks but i did that ordi, fastest is 20 days and above to deliver even 1kg of food. I survey both website since 2 days ago. Now need to survey the local petshop if they got provide a good hay (cos i saw yellow hay only... )
For sure trusted food is not available here. And i remember last time i bought a hay is from Kuch..which Lisa doesnt eat cos i think its like too dried up    heheh...

two days ago, i drop by to a petshop and found an abys. i booked it and pay deposit rm30 and promise will pay the rest when i bring him home later (cos im working at that time, cant bring him to office). so today (after 2 day) i go back to the shop and you know.................he's gone ordi 

that petshop owner said He died becos the rabbit bite him  .
moron.............stoopid...........he's a petshop owner for god sake!
why do he mix both of them. Now i really2 regret i cant save that newbie guy . 
i did had a chance to hold him tho..kinda content and relax in my arm instead of the petshop owner itself......

AAHHH! HELP!

All of a sudden today my GP give birth! Thank god its only one...

I have 3 gp, all female. 1 Mom 2 daughter. then today. i see see the cage. suddenly got one extra GP! So i think its the mom one... Maybe before i got the gp in my hand, she already pregnant...

Anyway, now i got one baby gp and i donno how to care for it...
And the front left leg of the baby gp is also bengkok.. I think deformed. Don't know why. The leg is bent inwards and instead of walkin on the paw, the baby gp walk on the erm.. leg...

anybody can help and advise me or not??

recently my 4 hamster die accordingly..why? so sad and not dare to buy anymore unless i become more qualified to have it.
