I have a Gainward 4870GS...

When i check with the gpu-z... the core clock is initially 775 then drop to 500...

Is this underclock or just normal ?

normal.. it's on 2d mode (saves power ) so it downclock itself

have u guys encounter artifacts while stability test furmark?(sometimes it works fine)

i tried ati tools scanning for artifacts but is ok no error 775/1000 default clock

so is it normal? which is accurate?

No artifacts should appear at all cost. If you're on stock clock and artifacts appear, then something is wrong somewhere. But if you OC, then it is a sign that the clock speed is not stable.

processor oc but not gc(turbo mode 775/1000)

with furmark most of time is ok but sometimes appear small blink square box

with ati tools scan, no error wo... so which is true n my card got problem ma?

I just got a 4670 from Moderno.

First card had some issues, due to artifacts appearing at clock speed when I use Furmark. Moderno changed 1-1, and now everything is fine.

2 lessons:
1) Buy for reputable seller like Moderno
2) Once you get a card, it's best you try some Ati-tool or furmark to check for errors (even if you don't plan to overclock) it's best you check for issues on the stock settings.

So far, everything looks good. Furmark for 1-hour also OK.

True, I did stress my GC the moment I got it. 4850GS first batch and immediately found out my card had problem =(. Well, luckily that time the distro, Netraid was giving 1-1 exchange for the card .

9600GT OC on 1280x1024
Will this get the same result in performance or which one better..?

then how about my case? if only appear sometimes, what cause those artifact appear? not enough power ? gc problem?

but everytimes i discover artifact on furmark, a restart pc will solved it...

last time my 4850 although just a ref card, never happen to me ...

Meaning it will turn on to 775 when i start to play game ?

Still remember 4850GS is kinda having stability issue with Huntkey 550W.
