i think it is logic coz orbital elevator kinda waeak against most weapons as mentioned in 1st season, tats why 3 supers increase their army forces

They did miss a few until other ppl joined the shooting gallery.

At that point with so many panels falling, i'm sure you can hit more than you miss but still not be able to clear them up as alot are falling to earth.

not to mention they r almost invulnerable to small beam gun where u see the large piece falling down suddenly

The large beam saber reminds me of Zeta Gundam hyper beam saber...

Actually the pieces from the part outside the atmosphere did burn, but the pieces within did not. And if there are no auto purge, the larger debris resulted cant burned completely in the atmosphere, and too large to be destroyed by normal MS weaponry(the large debris in ep 17 cant be destroyed safely; need the combined attack of several MSes and Trans Am'ed Gundams - imagine if there are several more of that debris)

africa tower is on land mass, what about HRL's tower? in the middle of the ocean. 1 huge debris on that = gg folks.

purging the elevator parts into small chunk would allow them to be burnt through friction with the atmosphere totally or into small pieces to reduce its damage to earth...

auto purge = automatically releasing the parts of the tower to disintegrate in the atmosphere...

for me la..my opinion A-LOL hack the elevator..the time they send teh automatons....the thing make the elevator to auto purge..by seeing the dmg of the memtomori ..that thing should not fall..
