mint is just another ubuntu. I hate mintmenu and mint autodownload without asking my permision.

mint 9 KDE
First reboot after install before login, mint auto download language pack. Then after KDE desktop come out, Mint download something ... Mint install/remove app will remove system file without warning. |

From website and review, Otaku base from Ubuntu, remove Gnome, then install KDE4. Same like NetRunner. The result is Ubuntu remaster full with unused Gnome orphan here and there.
On a side note, Linux Mint KDE dev have trouble making kubuntu Mint remaster. |

Fedora latest release is Fedora 17, code-named Beefy Miracle.
