hmm considering how much my boston gt40 costed, was it considered overkill of an amp powering the subs/S60 component? or theres no such thing as "wasting" in ICE? lol
*
overkill in SQ? not really la, maybe mismatch.. mcintosh amp alpine speakers hehehe

well, its driving a super entry boston S60. the subs i dont doubt its "need" for the amp, but the comp set, does feel kinda wasted heh.

what about mcintosh amp and alpine speakers? you mean matching them up is like a huge mismatch? (since AFAIK alpine are that well known for their speakers/comp sets unless its their top of the line series?)
*
its ok ma, amp wont hurt....after buy amp.....later got money upgrade speaker la....thats the way to progress hehe

the alpine speaker i meant is the cheap ones below 1k la.....would be a shame to match with expensive mcintosh amps hehe, thats all

when they say from same company, means same local distributor la, autocraft

coz helix is from germany, rockford is from US

however all their low end models are made in china due to low production cost

Hi guys.

Sorry dont mean to be lazy not using the search button. But i tried and i saw ppl asking the question, but cant scroll down to see the immediate answer. So sorry if someone asked this before..

I am planning to go full Hertz setup in my car. With a HU Pioneer P80. Just want to know, is Hertz a good brand? (In terms of sound quality, durability) I am planning to go SQL, and my dealer was able to confirm they are the official retailer for Hertz, so it shouldnt be an fake.

Please share your comments on this brand? Ty so much!
*
herts is ok, but there are many other brands out there u should take a look at before u decide...

beginner wont buy RM69 cd laa, why worry....

besides he is contrained by his current equipment, so the system has limits and shortcomings, he also realise it, so he will upgrade the player later

main reason not to add pre amp is bcoz it induces noise, if u dont mind the noise then go ahead...

also why we dont use rear speaker bcoz it disrupts the front stage (illusion provided from front speakers)

noise can be alternator noise (increase with accelerator) or high floor noise (not easily detectible) or just plain background static noise or interference

can your tweet take 150W or not? if not then use it for your mids & midbass la

find a smaller power one for your tweets, should be ok with scans, but a bit on the warm & laid back side..

sony never been good in audio la, not like their lcd or laptops or handphones. when sony first started car audio they did have a high end range, now become collectors item since its quite rare. other than that hey have been pretty much entry level stuff. nowadays lots of cheap imitations.

hertz is also not bad, but got many imitation in market, make sure buy from reputable shop that get the original stuff from official distributor..

Ok..general question...is mcintosh the best brand? I did drop in many shop..many say good and may say they dont sell..if good why dont sell?
*
theyre one of the best, but may not be everyone's cup of tea, but only amps and head units la

most dont sell bcoz very expensive, not many ppl can afford, but u can still find a few here n there

Those shop I went too says it sound very nice..I did check in the internet..their amp also looks nice..never seen
fitted locally or in any ICE competition..
*
not everyone's interested with competition, they just want personal satisfaction from hearing good quality music when driving....
