strange,i can install vista home prem 32 bit with no prob

my bios is F6,but i can install vista when its F5 last time.

i jz follow the usual routine,bios ask for cd,insert thn follow instruction.

me only can do 11 sec

4.1ghz. 460 x 9

no.1066 is default for stock E8400 (if ur ram is stock 1066 la).once u oc ur E8400 to lets say my clock,u nid to do some tweakings in order to get the optimum ram clock

idle @ 37-40 depending on room temp load 100% using LinX 70-73c depending on room temp

ya always running but i dont keep my pc 24/7 unless i torrenting or dl some big things.

i seldom run applications or games which use up to 100% so not a big prob for me.my temp quite high for my cooler,maybe i applied too much TIM.but lazy to take out and check

errr.nt quite prefer to load it straightly .i just need to voltage settings,mind doing a favor copying the voltages down for me?pls

just came back frm a restart and edited my bios

increased fsb to 515 and lower multiplier to 8x.increase vcore to 1.337v

here's the ss,not much diff .SuperPi still at 11sec



will do a stability test later to see wheter vcore enough

to be safe i return to bios and increased the vcore further to 1.343 v.and i passed LinX 10 round test,so i guess its ok now .slight increase in temp but not much



ss take right after the test is done,so the temps havent settled down yet

i duno lol

since i cant see a slight diff between both (maybe its thr but cant feel it out),and SuperPi still maintain at 11sec,and i have to downclock my ram slightly now at 1:1.if i put it to previous setting which is 6:5 it will bring up to 1200mhz+ which is quite gay,dun dare take the risk to try it

but i will be staying on this setting now.since most ppl mention higher fsb is better thn higher multiplier

try to upgrade it to F6.i heard it have better performance for oc.

running e8400 @ 520fsb.1.343 vcore.others all set to auto

latest is F8

idle @ 37-40c depending on room temp

im on F6.

i jz increased my vcore to 1.343v,might be diff,need to see ur default value.others no touch or set to auto.

involve some maths here.ratio,and im dmm noob at tht topic
