Yep SSD is very expensive, they've got good work times but where they REALLY shine is in their seek times. They'll enable your search in Windows for instance to work almost Instantenously. They will be able to run programs faster when launching, they have similar write times ( although just a tad faster ) to that of very very fast HDD's already in the market.
I may be wrong in the SSD prices though, the latest update I got was that you can get the Intel SSD 80gb ( one the biggest and fastest in the planet ) for about RM1300 i think. But yes, they are expensive. Just like Thumbdrives when it first came out, just need to wait till more folks adopt its use to bring prices down, just like how cheap 1TB HDD's are nowadays.

the time they written is under minimal usage, low brightness, no bt, no webcam on
