anybody can confirm the type of screen on 1016p? Matte or shiny?

It's matt i'm using one..i bought for rm1250 with 12 month 0% installment. Free MS wireless mouse. Regarding the battery life i doubt it can last 11 hour. I use to listen to FLAC only last 6-8 hour with external USB sound card +amp. During idle time it do show 9-10 hour.

Quality build i think it's very nice, online rate Asus is top in Net-book. Keyboard not very nice to type, a bit weird feeling. Screen is awesome not reflection just like the old macbook white i use to have (damn the new LCD all the reflection is killing me). Performance i think it's acceptable, if you need something powerful this is not your choice. It's just 10 inch what do you expect. Portability, yes it 10/10 weight about 1.2kg with battery. One thing i dun like about this net-book is the HDD, it's hidden inside. You need to open the whole net-book in order to change the HDD, but for RAM just open 2 screw will do.

Overall i think it's a good option. I compare with HP the battery last 1-2 hour only, Toshiba 3-4, Fujitsu hardly 5 and dell still not as good as Asus claim to be. Why i choose Asus, Price it's not he cheapest i think MSI , Acer and etc have something cheaper, 2nd Battery and Asus having the longest battery life compare with others. It's using dunno what Eee Super Hybrid Engine v2.13. 3rd Asus is the only one offer 0% 12 month installment without extra charges, before this i was looking to get Fujitsu with free EXt DVD writer but they charge me 2% handling free if use CC to pay.

I thought the netbook warranty will be the same with its notebook lines, that is, 2 years global warranty.

Here's a review of 1215N if anyone of you haven't seen it... It can even play SC2 lol...

I bet it's gonna be quite pricey if it comes to Malaysia

oops 1018p is actually around 1.6k only my mistake, got forumer selling that price... retail price is rm1699.... 1016p around 1239 like that and retail was rm1299... well rm360 difference for slightly better processor, fingerprint, usb3.0 and better/sleeker design... i guess it would still appeal to some ppl..
