yea.. I think 1018P is expensive because of it's fingerprint scanner and slim/macbook-ish design

Here's a review of 1215N if anyone of you haven't seen it... It can even play SC2 lol... I bet it's gonna be quite pricey if it comes to Malaysia |

oops 1018p is actually around 1.6k only my mistake, got forumer selling that price... retail price is rm1699.... 1016p around 1239 like that and retail was rm1299... well rm360 difference for slightly better processor, fingerprint, usb3.0 and better/sleeker design... i guess it would still appeal to some ppl..

QUOTE(LiMcZ @ Sep 9 2011, 11:06 PM) the old 1215B is same specs as 1015B except ram, won't have much difference I guess? Wait for the new 1215B with E-450, it's much better than C-50... Anyways, I am a 1015B user here as well haha.. So far no problems... Can't seem to install microsoft office though, sifu lee any advice? I uninstall the pre-office using some microsoft fixit uninstaller.. Supposedly there shouldn't be any traces of the old office left but I still not able to install it.. |

QUOTE(Isky @ Sep 13 2011, 07:33 PM) Same here. Been going back and forth between these two: The new dm1 has a totally new design so don't think u can refer to the old designHP DM1-4000AU - Slight cheaper, good design and build quality (from reviews), better sound, but smaller screen(11.6) and USB2.0 only. But comes with an HP backpack. Asus 1215B - Slight more expensive, outdated design, so-so build quality (touchpad issues, keyboard flex, etc), but bigger screen 12.1, and USB3.0. No bag or any other freebies. To anyone who recently purchased the new e450-based 1215B... did Asus address those hardware issues instead of just slapping on the e450 processor? Also, someone on the DM1z forum ordered the new DM1. Delivery was supposed to be 14 days, but the online shipment tracker stated almost 4-months. That's a little worrying. The smart thing to do is wait for a few weeks to get some early reviews on both products. But frankly, my hands are getting itchy to start calling and ordering. LOL. |

QUOTE(LiMcZ @ Sep 26 2011, 12:38 AM) i jz bought one,the basic color really painful to view the color is really bad and washed out, use the AMD catalyst centre to lower the gamma a bit should be better..can u teach me how u install 32bit for it? with external cd drive? will it slow down ur netbook as it is only 1.65 GHZ u can use USB pendrive to install Windows 7 on it... Clean install will speed up the laptop definitely since no more bloatwares.. If you worry about performance drop, you can always tweak some of the visuals/shadows.. |
