Woah woah woah! What had this thread become? Didn't you guys read my postscript in the 1st post? Just in case you haven't or if you've forgot, "This is NOT a flame thread so plz don't treat it as one." This is not working out as I expected, I was execting you guys to understand:
1. What are the flaws of Promod.
2. The consequences of doing something funny with certain weapons without considering the outcome as to how it'll affect other weapons. (in Promod's case, M4 and AK-47 rendered all other assault rifles redundant.)
3. Healthy discussion over the issue. (Unfortunately, this trainwreck discussion had gone overboard. How do you guys expect to get along with each other when you meet up for the R&R meeting after WGT?)

You see, I really agree with what Strayfah said:
"Malaysian support is not enough. We need to actually prove it to other countries first. We can first start with changing the rulesets around Asia and gathering their support. Then slowly move on to the rest of the world."
That's why all along I had been (secretly, well, not so secret anymore) using the logical approach to balance up the game based on the ACTUAL values from the rawfiles IW originally keyed in.

It'll be absolutely delightful if we abide by the international R&R. But unfortunately, based on the eyes of someone who had seen the numbers too much, the international rules is disastrous so far. It's like the creator of that mod have completely no idea how the game works. This mod had created a bias against the weapons in the game. He (or she) made some weapons so powerful that you'll see everyone running around with only a few selected weapons because of this.

Yes, I do agree that skills and teamwork plays a bigger part in the outcome of a battle. But combine that with the now unstoppable weapons in Promod... . T3q, I like your idea of making things simple. I really do. But I also can't stand the fact that semi automatic firearms like the G3 and M14 are almost certainly abandoned in competitive gameplay in favour of their fully automatic counterparts. If we work together as a community as a whole, we can sort out these weapons discrimination and create an even more balanced gameplay than IW originally intented.

Everyone have their own 2 cents opinion as to how a balanced gameplay should be like (including me). Tolerance is the key to a successful democratic society. So instead of throwing fireballs at each other, why can't we learn to listen and accept different opinions? Well, to "listen and accept" doesn't mean you must agree with one's opinion, you may disagree, but I do not want anymore screen-breaking session in this thread.

I'm leaving this thread open for future replies, no more bone-breaking post plz.

P.S. t3q, we all respect your opinion, but plz dun treat it as if your opinion is the one that's correct. (No offence intended )

P.P.P.S. It'll be awsm if you guys could understand the game as much as he does. You know, the more we understand about the something, the better we can resolve an issue.

It is unfortunate that the internet and the english language tend to cause misunderstandings.

I would also like to apologize if i unintentionally insulted anyone, especially teq. I agree with you thoroughly luft, albeit a little wacky. You have many points we stand to learn from. And i already made plans for the asian community to do such a thing "to unite a ruleset", with a competition running for the region. As the promod is widely used in the region, the optimal choice is to use it. Again, the meeting with the singaporean leaders and aussie leaders are to be set in motion only next year.

Me and Quikz(bfnut) had joked a lot about doing a tour around asia to promote COD4 and the chosen mod(if any). I am not biased to PAM. I just need you to understand teq.
