donut too sweet, but as sweet as my sweet gf as well, becuase of Big apple also we start our relation since last year

I hope you guys don't mind that I'm bumping this old thread, and probably an outdated “battle” (rather an old trend at that),
I'm just curious to know, as Krispy Kreme has now popped up in Malaysia for quite some time now,

has anyone gotten sick of the sweetness of Krispy Kreme's Original Glazed yet? Or does it still top off all other donuts just for that?
I voted J.Co, since it was the only brand I bothered to try when it first came out— the rest just didn't appeal to me (also because I am more of a Pavilion/Sunway Pyramid person. Location! Location!).

Its too sweet for my liking. I still prefer the ones sold at the roadside with sugar

lol I just realized that my Krispy Kreme question was very much a statement with obvious biasness.

Are you all aware that Big Apple's actually a Malaysian brand? Gave me a surprise, and I didn't like it cause I felt pretty much deceived, lol.
I understand the whole "Support Malaysian Brand" sentiment, but I can't be so supportive when one brand does not even emit any Malaysian personality.

this thread shud be dead along with all the other donut shops.

first of all, jco and big apple donuts sux. the best plain donut goes to krispy creme, while the flavoured ones go to dunkin donuts

they are all loaded with trans fat and totally overpowered by cornflour...no thanks

Aiyah, U lama din turun Berjaya Time square kah..Already there for many moons liao..One lousy donut...worst than Jco & Big Apple...Anyway, the donut crazy M'sian that never tasted the super softy Donut has reduced...U dun really see long que anymore...& probably more branches of those donut outlets will reduced

krsipy kreme got the quality its wont get melt if didnt put at fridge unlike big apple donut will melt...

To me most of the donuts tasted the same. It is the glazing that you are tasting. Ever thried the classic donut? I saw the KK outlet in Berjaya Times Sq. but didn't try it.

However, anything franchise that is handled by Berjaya will make the brand loose it lustre. Look at 7-11 and Starbucks! You see lower grade coffee and badly trained baristas. 7-1 is a mess, you even find 2 to 3 outlets in one neigbourhood. To Berjaya, it is money first, money second and money third!
