What warez? It's a beta and it'll install 30-days evaluation, there's no retail version yet. you can't activate unless you got the old Windows Vista Beta/RC1/RC2 keys

As far as I can tell, system requirements for Windows7 is lesser than Windows Vista. The fastest version of Windows based on NT6 kernel. If you run it without the Aero effects, it'll run as fast as (if not faster) than Windows Server 2008.

To me, Vienna is much harder to pronounced. That's three parts: Vi-en-na, while Vista and 7 only two parts: Vis-ta; Se-Ven. LOL

After Vista, my guess was that Microsoft would use the name : Windows Aurora. But they didn't. Windows 7 was just a temp name... and most got used to calling the next Windows, Windows 7 that Microsoft finally used it. Hey, Windows 7 sounds... like the next version alright

It's first known as Windows Codename Blackcomb, then changed to Windows Codename Vienna and Microsoft has decided to use Windows 7 as it's final name. So no more Vienna, R.I.P.

windows 7 is what vista should have be 2 years ago

7 may be released in mid 09...

till now, Asus still maintain that they will ve a Netbook running on 7 in mid 09...

and that's also the latest deadline that MS decides to kill XP for good...

The only differences that Asus will bring with their Netbook is (maybe) multitouch support. Windows7 already running on current Netbook without problem as mentioned by Steve Ballmer earlier after PDC 2008.

Heh, i wonder why are ppl still having this mentality. Considering that when Vista was not even launched, people were saying that it was what XP should be, or why XP would be better than ME, or ME would better than 98. Fukken people don't realise that YOU DON'T KNOW UNLESS THE OS IS RELEASED.

what i care most is game performance on W7, hopefully DX9/DX10/DX10.1 mode in W7 is much faster than WinXP DX9.
