Shoots man! There were leaked screenshots of Windows 7 M3 6780 that had for the first time, a lot of visual changes to Windows 7 - - including Microsoft Paint's Ribbon Interface.

Too bad it was there one moment, the next they are gone!

BTW, Windows 7 Beta 1 arrives December 2008 ! . Its not for us to download (public download) but still...

Speaking of 7, Microsoft should give some kind of way to reduce the price of Windows 7 for those who already own a copy of Windows Vista...

I myself can't quite see myself USING a brand new operating system when I am so used to Vista... furthermore have to spend $$$. I will only be getting a brand new machine like in 2010 when Intel Core i7 + Nvidia GTX ??? is released with Windows 7...

I have a really good feeling about Windows 7... I just 'believe' it will be dubbed 'The Vista That PC users Always Wanted'.

You have to experience it urself... startup time was really quick. In fact, I was still waiting... thinking it still had more stuff to load... then I realized that was it! The startup time is really quick...

That aside, in terms of performance, everything is much quicker. This early in build and Windows 7 is already performing admirably. Unfortuantely, even MSN games fail to install...

That aside, I did not have time to unlock Super Taskbar in Build 6801.

Everything feels 'lighter'. If Vista was a system hogger, Windows 7 (thus far) feels like an angel floating... biggrin.gif

Edit: Windows Media Player 12 is sooo tiny... it is pretty much all we ever needed... no unnecessary stuff. Sidebar Gadgets no longer fixed to the right hand side or left hand side. Every gadget 'snaps' in place... think of magnet on the fridge. You can align gadgets any way you want as it snaps into place...

Lol... I had not purchased a computer since July 07.

My plan : The Next-generation Is Upon Us - - late 2009/2010

Windows 7 + Core i7 + etc. etc.

Definitely waiting for Windows 7. It is Windows Vista in its 'de-bugged / hassle-free form'.

- - rumor has it that internal Microsoft release date of Windows 7 is like July 09. But I bet that's just a 'rough estimate'. Expect it late 2009 earliest. I could be wrong.

sickles? ready
hoes? ready
vista? killed
xp? pissed
Vienna? what's that

Windows Vienna would sound OK, not as nice as Vista... but better than XP.. hehe

After Vista, my guess was that Microsoft would use the name : Windows Aurora. But they didn't. Windows 7 was just a temp name... and most got used to calling the next Windows, Windows 7 that Microsoft finally used it. Hey, Windows 7 sounds... like the next version alright tongue.gif

"ASUS CEO: Windows 7 touchscreen Eee PCs in mid-2009, $250 model on the way"

What does that mean ? Meaning Windows 7 release in mid-2009 ? Which means the 'alledged internal release date of June/July 2009' is real ?

oh wait... its just a rumor....

ASUS CEO is just going to release Eee PCs that support Windows7 multitouch, not that Windows7 is released in mid 2009...

Wow. Super misleading title... or maybe I read it wrongly...

So what use is releasing a PC that support Windows 7 when still no Windows 7 ?

... maybe just trying to prove to ppl that yeah, there are already Windows 7-capable machines
